Attention All Trainers

Due to many threads in this forum about the loss of internal batteries, I am issuing this warning to you all:

Internal Batterires are running dry everywhere, and who knows which one of us will be next? For the sake of your beloved Pokemon, I strongly recommend that you clone all of your best legendaries, and trade the originals back to R/B/Y. Trade any shinies you may have back into R/B/Y. If they have any moves that exist only in G/S/C, delete the move, better that than lose the whole pokemon. If it is a pokemon who exists only in G/S/C, then enjoy the pokemon while you can. If your battery dies while your hard earned and well loved Mewtwo is in it, or that Charizard that you trained since it was a level 5 Charmander, it will be worse than it would be if those pokemon were safely locked away in R/B/Y at the time of "the great delete" and you still had them.

Don't let your pokemon miss the boat!

Or....You could purchase a Gameboy Printer, trade all pokemon to Gold, Silver or Crystal and print them off at the photographer's house in Cianwood city. Sticky or colour in the printouts, so they don't fade away. That's what i'm doing, instead of wasting money on a new game, when i could be saving up for Diamond, Pearl and XD.

Trade them to Stadium 2. Then, change your battery as shown here:

Start a new file, get far enough that you are allowed to transfer, and transfer everything back. Yay!

Yep, you can store them in the boxes at Oak's Lab and keep them there for as long as you have your game. I have all my good ones there.

Probably a stupid question, but can i store glitch pkmn like Missingno. and the like from my Red and Blue versions (even after being traded to G/S/C) in there?

Can i store pokemon from my Jap. Green version?

Is there a fast mode to play the GBC games, like Doduo mode and Dodrio mode?

And do i need to reach a certain point in the game (i have only played my friend's Stadium 2 and i haven't played in ages).

From what I've heard, all glitches turn into Ditto permanently. So, you can, but not as Missingno.

Not unless you have a Japanese Stadium 2.

Yes, after you do certain things in the game. I only have Doduo, but I know you can get Dodrio.

You do not have to reach a certain point to store them, but you have to reach a certain point in the GSC game to retrieve them.

You didn't ask this, but I thought I'd mention it anyway,. You can also store items from GSC, and items and Pokemon from RBY. The only items you can't save are HM's, key items, and decorations.

Just so everyone knows, you have to catch 150 Pokémon in order to move a Pokémon with a different OT than yours into or out of Stadium 2.

Ah, yes. The GameFaqs thing. I did that the other day and now my Silver's back in action thanks to the magic of RadioShack.

This should be made a sticky or the method should be made a sticky.

Too latrte for me, Silver died on me a while ago, but some good Pokemon are uin Gold and Crystal....

My internal battery went out a little while ago, but I already transferred them in fear. Long ago. At least it was only my silver. My gold and crystal are fine.

Follow those instructions. You can change it at any time, whether the battery's been dead for years, or it's still going but is losing power.
