Attention: Glitch makes gates disappear

I have found out yesterday that a serious bug makes you're gates disappear.

This bug is caused by placing pitfalls in front of your gates.
When someone visits, they fall in the pitfall, which leads to a series of lag
that makes your gate disappear. To fix it, have a character move out (not a cpu player, a human player) and move back in, if desired.

One more thing. No one except you can see that the gates are missing.
This means that they can leave without you having to select Party's Over.

Nope.

And it's odd I never saw this.. When I had I believe 30 pitfalls around my gate. As Asrialys knows.. I think it was him atleast.

Oh, thanks for the warning. With the amount of pitfalls in lost property I've been super tempted for a while to just surround my gate with them. I guess that's a bad idea now ^_^;

Ugh, I remember this old news from January. In fact, I was one of a handful of people who attempted to reinact the glitch, and found it impossible to do so. I believe it was a one-time incident. :/

So, what do your guests see when you are inside the area where the gate dissapeared? Do they see you in the gates? If it only requires 1 pitfall seed, I am so trying this out! (For some reason, Booker never has pitfalls. I even found 8 furniture items and 2 clothing items in there yesterday.....but no pitfalls)

No, it's not impossible. If you looked at the pics, this person has stones infront if it. You need to put it arond the stones.

They don't have to immediatly fall in. It could be done at anytime as long as there are pitfalls in front of the gates.

well,I once planted a pitfall seed next to my friend's town's gate and he fell in.No glitch occured though
