I'm not going to jabber on about anything. Keeping this quick.

Stop with the spam. It is fun and okay to go partially off-topic, so long as its related to the topic at hand. But this area is not for general discussion. The posts in this thread are a good example of what I'm talking about. If those kinds of posts don't stop, I will ban you. This section is not immune to the overall forum rules.

Another thing I want to point out. Any more threads intentionally breaking the new rule out of spite will be closed, and the creator banned. For that matter, any sort of spiteful thread/title/post will result in a possible ban. Yes, there are many people who post stupidly that don't know what they're talking about, but you don't have to post stupidly, knowing what you're talking about. The rule is not that hard to follow, and can simply be summed up as this:

If posting a thread with a team in this section, you must now include in the title a brief summary of what the team is about. This can be as small as a few letters; OU, UU, BP or a few words; Baton Pass, Stall, Sub Punch, Counter, etc. Thread titles may still be creative, but again, include the team type in the title.

Finally, for those who say smogon is better than SPP for competetive battling, sure, it probably is. However, SPP =/= Smogon, and tries to cater to a more general audience. Stop trying to change SPP into smogon, and teach them how to do it right instead of trying to cram it into them. Sure, there are stickies and numerous threads that explain what to do, but they're lengthy and wordy and deter people from actually reading it. I am trying to compile and shorten the guides into one thread that would be easy to navigate, but it will take a little time, and I am short on time to make it too, so please be patient.

It seems I didn't get a chance to properly thank you for clearing that up in the last thread I made here. The impression I got from the sticky was much different than what the rule actually was.

That was referring to the spam and other things going on. Mostly replying to posts which are obviously stupid and/or spam. In which case where I'd normally PM warn one person, I'd have to warn 3-5 people. Edited my post to make that a little more clearer.

I wonder how having 400X200 image is against the rules while having 2 200x200 images is fine. it adds up to be the same size in KB and is a hell lot harder to make if it has to be 2. this constitutes to be a pointless rule IMO. what if I went 1 or 2 pixels over the limit? My apologies for the spelling error. Finished that at like 11 PM. As for the image rule, it is like that to prevent people from having too many oversized images. Its just one of those rule exceptions that just makes it more difficult to keep track of. It isn't too hard to just cut your image in half and put them up like that. A lot of people do this already, and you should follow it too.

You could make it 1 400x200 image in the rules. it's alot easier on us. it just makes things less complex and annoying.

If you want to make your point, post it here. Otherwise you have to follow the rules as everyone else on the forums have to. Plus, if we did allow that sort of image style, we'd probably have people with sigs with 2 200x200 and 1 400x200 image. Until the rule is changed, you have to follow it

Well, to make it easier for the RMTers here, and prevent further pointless posts. I'm posting this reminder. All people posting a thread here are required to state the type of team it is within the first post. Not only uber/ou/whatever, but also Netbattle vs Link Battle. However, all threads are assumed to be netbattle, so anybody posting a Link battle team must say so.
If I personally catch any non-netbattle teams, I will close the thread immediately, and ban the poster for not reading the sticky along with any person who replies stating that it was in-game and/or pointless and/or stating something that's not helpful toward the team. Ban length will be one week with longer bans for any more after the first.

I suggest everyone who comes here to read this link. It appears that even after continuous warnings, some people still like to not listen. If I see any of the rules there broken as of the time of this posting, I will ban you for two weeks, longer for repeat offenses. You do not have to:
-Flame someone for bashing you or doing something stupid
-Reply to someone's post, which is already SPAM or flaming, with more counter-SPAM or counter-flaming.

Furthermore, I will be making more severe bans toward people who reply to SPAM/Flame-bait than the original poster. I'm tired of getting reported posts from this section, I get more from here in one day than I get from any of my other sections in two weeks combined.

Now, by this point, you probably have already thought that I'm getting very **** towards the rules and such, and yes, I am, but I won't let up until the blatant stupidity and such stop. Kind of similar to how I was trying to enforce the thread title rule, where I'll ease up on enforcing it if everyone follows it for a while.

I've said it before, this is serebiiforums.com not smogon, not pokecommunity, not bulbagarden, not anything else. We're, well most of us anyway, trying to make this an enjoyable place for as many people as possible. We don't want people to be afraid to post because they'll be dubbed n00b, stupid, or anything.

HOWEVER, we also don't want people going around calling people elitists anymore. Yes, there are people who act like n00bs and elitist, but calling them that futhers the arguments, and makes for an unpleasant experience.

Oh, one more thing. I apologize for my recent inactivity, I've been pulling much overtime at work, studying for my midterms, dealing with Home renovations, and other issues at the moment, so I hardly have time to be on.

Yeah. Particulary when you consider that the NB format is easily recognizable.

But what I think that was saying was that you don't have to post that it's a NB team, but you do have to say if it's a LB team.

^--- To clarify that, that means, Netbattlers don't have to say Netbattle since all threads are assumed to be Netbattle (it is how the majority goes anyway) So anyone posting a non-netbattle team must state that its not netbattle.
