• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

You'll be reading "Greninja lost despite Charizard taking prior damage" for years to come.

Sadly true, I think.

I don't like how the last episode left things with Ash on top, I think it sets up his defeat, sadly. It was just too optimistic, with Pikachu even landing hits on Charizard. If Bisharp does even things up, that'd be a bit better in terms of hoping for Ash to win, but...idk.

Like with Paul, they set up the first part of the battle for Ash to dominate, the second part to be a bit darker (Drapion quickly KOing three of Ash's Pokemon), and the third to be Ash's win. There was a rise and fall.

I feel like Ash would be in more trouble if he was going to win.

I'm thinking that Rain Dance is gonna be used more for Goodra than for Greninja. We've already see Bisharp use Thunder Wave on Hawlucha, so it makes
sense for Alain try the same on Goodra. Unfortunately, it seems that the best case for Goodra at this point is a draw. So we'll see what happens there.
Perhaps, Alain sees an opening when Goodra uses Rain Dance and takes it out on the spot with Guillotine. Would fall right into place with Goodra's surprised
look in the preview.

It's not just the title that gets the idea of Ash winning, that was far from my mind of this...Points being

- Every rival Ash wasn't able to beat all series i.e. Paul and Gary was always defeated at the league

- Alan doesn't even want to become a Pokemon Master in the first or care about the league till he wanted to battle Ash, it'd just be weird if Alan won in this...

- Why does Team Flare kidnap Ash after this?

- Next series doesn't have gyms and is a trial of some sort

Well any ways, guess will see. I'm hoping for Ash to win, now of all times makes the perfect sense

Why is no one worried about the Lysandre segment. He literally said they are ready to start his plan to take over all of Kalos when this battle reaches its climax. This seems like an inevitable interruption that is gonna occur in the battle, anyone else worried?

I think they are working in the background and will wait for Lysandre too give the order to strike.

Clearly Charizard X won't survive the big hyped up orange disc of death. I feel like people forget that exists when they say Alain will win honestly.

I would if some one posted English subs up by now, I have no idea what they said.

However didn't the summary say we'd get an outcome either way? I don't know what fans would be pissed off more at..

A. Ash loosing

Or

B. An interruption in the league final

I feel like Ash's luck will start running out with Charizard's defeat of Pikachu and Bisharp killing or tying with Goodra, then both are on equal terms for the final match

Plus Ultra!
Charizard's definitely defeating Pikachu, and Bisharp may likely defeat Goodra, despite the fact I'm not exactly a fan of that conclusion.

But hey, at least it somewhat puts Greninja on level ground with Charizard when their battle arrives. Heck, it'd be awesome!

I think case B would be worse because in that case Ash is going to inevitably fail again because of inconvenient circumstances rather than just not being the stronger trainer.

look up the episode on youtube with english subs, lots of credible videos @bluedragon

I'll try, last I looked I could only find the battle between Ash and Alan with no subs. I've been dying to know what they've been saying.

The wait for the results of the battles going to kill me.

If Ash looses I wouldn't know why they'd set it up this way. I think either way it will piss off fans.

Wow, what can I say? XYZ037 was excellent, though I was surprised at how quickly we got through some of those battles.

But hey, the faster we get to see Ash finally win a League Conference, am I right?

So yeah, I think Ash wins, if only because it gives us more character progression than if he loses. If Alain wins, Chespin is fine sooner rather than later, Lysandre will probably give up on his manipulation of Alain and instead focus on his plans, etc. If Ash wins? Alain has a reason to be furious, I assume - I can't see Chespin being revived until after the Zygarde arc ends in any case - with not just himself, but with Ash, Lysandre...everyone really.

I've had the horrible, sneaky suspicion about Flare interrupting the battle since this was announced. Still not sure.

That'd be super cheap, I hope they don't do it. Ash straight-up losing I can deal with, Flare interrupting the battle is flat-out poor writing. It'd be a worse plot contrivance than Tobias.

LOLz People still sore about that. Awe who am I kidding I'll be pissed about this for a while too if Ash looses this one, there's just too much pointing to him winning. I didn't think he'd win D/P league even.

Pokemon Orgins isn't what I'm looking for though :/
