Lumiose City is in a state of excitement thanks to the Kalos League! And during this excitement, Clemont's Chespin gets lost. And as Chespin is walking around all alone and confused, a certain somebody appears before it...

All of Lumiose City is super excited thanks to the Kalos League! And in the middle of all this, trouble occurs. Clemont's Pokémon Chespin ends up getting lost. And then, the confused Chespin encounters......?

As Lumiose City is in a state of excitement thanks to the Kalos League Ash is participating in, trouble occurs. The Spiny Nut Pokémon Chespin, which Clemont brought along, ends up going missing. As Clemont and the others search for it, the confused Chespin happens to run into someone. New developments are about to occur together with this new encounter before the Kalos League finals.

No way this is real. Another Pokemon lost episode? The only way this is redeemable is if this leads into the Flare Climax.

Before anyone starts drawing parallells to "Axew gets lost" I'm gonna give as educated a guess as possible as what we're getting here.

I think Chespin's gonna find Chespie or Mairin somehow and all heck is gonna unleash as Alain/Team Flare's schemes start to unwravel.
Looks like the Flare Arc might start up, or get hinted toward at least here.

The summary doesn't mention if the final round is going on, so I'm guessing this is a set up episode for the final match (and possible Team Flare interruption thereof).

Hard to get over them reusing the "Pokemon gets lost" thing again though.

Well before people start losing there minds over this, it should be pointed out that the summaries say something about a certain someone appearing before Chespin, so it might not be as bad as people are thinking as it might actually be something plot related.

Now that I've calmed down a little bit, I will say this:

The "Pokemon gets lost" concept isn't a bad thing if done right. Getting lost without leading into something is a bad thing. Hopefully, this isn't the case, and Chespin finds Team Flare about to put their plans into motion or something along those lines.

You know how this works. People are going to be mad because it's not battling.

I will say it doesn't sound like Axew filler garbage but I'm remaining dangerously cautious right now

He has returned.
if it's Alain, Marin or Lysandere, something's going down.

Though there is something else to consider, if Ash and Alain really are going to go at full force it in the finals, their probably doing this to give Ash's Kalos pokemon some breathing time

Unova he had more pokemon so their was no excuse for the Axew episode, but this one has it's reasons.

Cause Alain seeing Chespin could cause a reaction, but what kind of reaction that effects his fight with Ash is to be seen.

Title talks about the league, but the summary talks about Chespin getting lost and getting found by someone. The BW Axew gets lost episode had that in its title though I know not what its original summary was. Hopefully it's an indication that someone important like Manon or X-2 finds him, backstage drama while Ash fights Alain.

If this is the supposed setup for the final round, I hope we get to see Alain take out Remo again in something beyond 15 seconds. Considering how short we've been on battles in this League, its the least they could do. Not to mention that it could be a good segue into some juicy Alain exposition.

Yeah, this is probably where the gang will meet Lysandre for the very first time.

But who's "fierce fighting"? Ash vs Alain, I'd assume, but that's not even the main focus of the episode.

inb4 we only get a glimpse of Ash vs Alain in which Greninja gets destroyed by Zard-X, the end

the match will probably end up being postponed. This is what will cause ash to lose this time. I could already see ash greninja powering up his mega disk to finish off charizard, but then an explosion happens, and the battle is ended.
