How does another competitor falling out of the Hyper Class and allowing other to move up make it a joke in regards to Ash?

It's less about Ash gaining a higher spot because the higher spots are dropping down but more about this making the PWC far less important to take seriously at the second highest tier while he's busy goofing around with Goh.

I love Volkner to pieces, but WHY Volkner? Arent there any other regions with strong trainer like Jotho for example. This is Satoshis second electric type PWC battle, first one in Normal Class with Vasquez, first one onscreen in Hyper Class with Volkner.

I’m just referencing how she told Ash to wait for her while she makes it into the hyper class. This episode with Volkner could give Ash a notification on her status.

He's fought three Fighting-type specialists a total of 4 times in PWC battles.
I'm gonna count Rinto.
We all thought he might be having a Mega Luxray to promote BDSP. Still hoping though.
My wish honestly is a Ash battles E4 members and Champs or other game Protagonists (all unlikely after that Wikstrom ep)
If this is against Volkner please let him have a good/different team and at least 3vs3. This show really needs to go back to Ash and not be Let‘s Go Goh.

Finally, a battle of Ash actually on screen. I hope Go just sits and watches this time. Ash would do that for May or Dawn during the Grand Festival, why can't Go?
He's been doing that since literally the first one.

Even when Goh catches mons in those episodes he has always witnessed Ash's battles of PWC, never missing one and cheering him on constantly. That's much better then what Ash did to May multiple times

Maybe its just been a while since I've seen an episode of Journeys. I remember Go catching a Pokemon during every fight of Ash.

Goh caught spearow in the Visquez battle before Ash battled Visquez
When the battle started Goh was there watching and cheering him on
He witnessed the tauros guy and koromi too and was there for him
Same with Korrina, he was there during the battle, only catching mons before
Same with Bea and her rematch, the gurdurr guy, the two Rinto matches, Iris
The only PWC battle he was absent for was against Meganium and that's because he didn't know Ash was having a battle and both of them were mentoring kids in separate paths

Ahh, yea that whole tournament was full of PWC matches. Well I don't think Ash would mind him missing one small scale match considering Goh attended all of his main matches and cheered him on. Certainly better then what Ash did to May in many contests in AG
