Just let the writers get it out of their system so we don't have to deal with Go catching a Pokemon during an important episode. At least he's only going for one Pokemon and not an entire forest of bugs this time.
Yah no That's never the case, even in important episodes that relate to Ash they add an annoying subplots of him catching Pokemon.

Was wondering if this episode too like ep 32 features only Gou considering the summary only mentions him
Doubt this episode will only involve Go. Since Ash's starter was Pikachu he may offer Go some advice on how to catch and raise one

One Goh episode not having Ash in it doesn't mean all future Goh episodes are going to.

And of course Ash isn't in ep 32. It's a flashback (mostly) and they hadn't met at that point.

Also, a Pikachu ep without Ash and Pikachu? That'd be a weird thing, especially if Goh does end up getting one of his own.

Wow. Almost as if that's his dream or something.

And with nearly 900 Pokemon, they kind of need to shove captures into other episodes otherwise he'd never get remotely close to his goal.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for over 8 months, that’s the whole point of Go’s character. He’s going to end up catching something like it or not which are barely even important anyways.

Doubt it would happen but it would be cool if Go tried to catch a Pikachu in the Kanto Power Plant

But again, they go some episodes without it yet here comes an Ash episode and "Er muh gush! A Pokemans!"
That is where it's annoying, Ash doesn't face PWC opponents in Goh's. Goh shouldn't but in on Ash's turf, I watch Ash episodes for Ash. Not Goh

By that logic he should capture something in every episode. He didn't capture anything in Koharu's episode and in Pikachu - Mr. Mime's episode. They are rather inconsistent with him.
