After the second gen, I decided that was enough. When R/S came out, I thought that this was an attempt to get people back into it (partially was). Then, when I got Colo, I learnt names, attacks, and the whole side to battling. So, in turn, I got Sapphire.
Serebii has kept me into the D/P frenzy that most people are in now!

I bought emerald but it all seems so weird, and I try and reach up stuff and theres like 400 new pokemon etc...
So what do you guys think is the best way to get back into pokemon and understand it all again? I only really remember a little from silver but mostly red/blue/yellow

I was a lot like you, up until about august I hadn't played Pokemon since the G/S/C days. One day last august, on an impulse I decided to buy pokemon leaf green. I completed it quickly and then got Emerald the following month. Then in October I decided to import Diamond so now I am playing that as well as still playing the other two as they are all so addictive!

I've had the exact same thing and have got back into Pokemon over the last two months or so. I just went and found all the stuff I liked before I left the fandom (just when the news about the Lati@s movie was coming out), completed blue and crystal as I'd never actually finished them before, read the manga summaries on serebii.net and have Emerald, Leaf Green and Sapphire in the post at the moment.

for a while i was really into marvel comics, and i forgot aboout pokemon, but now i'm back into it, all you have to do is just do it...
