What do you prefer to travel with? A backpack, or a messenger bag?

I travel with both.

I have this Club Nintendo messenger bag. Backpacks are better for school and travel, but I think messenger bags are good for daytrips and going out around town. So I use both, just not at the same time.

I use a backpack. I used a messenger bag for about half a semester before I got tired of it. It didn't carry enough for me and it was worse on my back and shoulders than my current backpack.

I have a generic shoulder bag(not quite a messenger bag) which I use. I don't take enough crap to classes to make a backpack worth it anymore.

Depends on the situation TBH.
I prefer a back pack for going about places, and I'm just using it to hold things I may need to that I may buy. For university though, I use my laptop bag, which is like a messenger bag, so that I can bring my laptop as it gets used most days in uni.

I don't know a single person who identifies them as "messenger bags", but that's what I prefer. Backpack is for school and big trips.

I usually wear a backpack but if I got to go for an interview or something then I use my messenger bag to fit the smart look.
