do they always freeze the game when they hatch? do they ever hatch, or do they just screw up your game?

They dont tally your steps, so no, they dont, unless you use a cheating device to hatch it. >_>

a 'bad egg' is just a marker for corrupted data. dont try hatching them. All thats inside is a screwup.

I once found an egg in my box, which I totally forgot about. I didn't know what it was, and so tried to hatch it. 5,000 steps,.... 10,000 steps,.... 15,000steps,.... Never hatched. Still in the empty box on its own. So no, bad eggs don't hatch.

Well, I have made 7 bad eggs myself (I once used AR to get a pokemon but that didn't work out) there all identical and they are weird. They hatch in like 17 steps , it says that it was obtained in a trade and they have PkRS. When one hatches the game crashes but nothing brakes.

don't try hatching them i heard that they screw your game up but i kno how to get rid of them if you have emerald use the cloning glitch but deposit the egg so then it delete's instead of cloning

yea i remeber that i had one bad egg once all because i wanted a feebas and a deoxys
so i use an ar get the codes enter them
what i think specifically happens is if you get the wrong code it meeses with the coding threfore corrupts
the bad egg is basically punishment for hacking
just ignore them
and dont whatevre you do move them in your box if you do they basically"hatch" wothout hatching
gamefreaks cruel and unusual punishment for trying to make you game better!!got it?

I think they never hatch and never go away until you reset your game.

it is not a 'punishment' as you keep saying.. they are just a marker for bad data and can appear in unhacked games when saves fail, in the billion to one chance the game spits out a corrupted pokemon and you catch it or during any number of other problems that rarley happen. Hackers encounter them because they enter bad data. if you make a bad egg you can enter the RIGHT data and the bad egg will be replaced with the pokemon you are trying to make. simple as that.

i don't know if this is true but in emerald you can apparently get rid of them using the cloning glitch,
don't blame me if it doesn't work,
i'm just saying what i heard

i got the egg down to its making sonts and it went huh? then the game froze but wa s fine i traded off everything and started again though, so i could have a cheat free game
