And I do not want heavy criticism on either of these pictures, please. Pointing small mistakes out or tips are welcome, but no "This is no good, do the whole thing over"s Just experimenting on this.
And heres the same thing but without shading Click.

But heavy criticism is good D: It builds character and puts hair on your chest (even if you don't want hair on your chest)

The only minor mistakes I see are the outlines, they're kind of sloppy in some places and need to be smoothed out a little more-especially on the chest fur. You could also add some more shading to the face, because it doesn't match the well-shaded body. You also went outside of the lines a little bit, but that should be easy to clean up.

All in all, good job on the picture, I love the eyes and right ear (don't ask). Balto is one of my favorite movies. (<3 Uncle Boris). I recommend that you try doing a full-body picture.

er...um...keep practicing.

That wasn't to heavy was it? o_______o;;

Edt: First post suckers! >:p

But heavy criticism makes me want to go crawl in a cave in die D: And Id prefer to be chest hair free for now...

Fixed what I could see you saw (Does that make anysense?) when you said that the outlines and coloring was a bit slopy. Also darkened some of the shading, but our computer shows colors a bit off, and its also an flat pannel so the colors look different depending on what angle you look at ikt from. So one half of this is probably darker looking than the other, sorry about that. Working on a few full body pics and refs now.

Thanks for the comment and tips, Psycho.

I like it, but I think the eyes and the head are a little too big (or if you prefer, the legs too small), and you could also add in some highlights. Nice job.

Shading is almost non-existant. Other than that, it looks very true to the movie.
Also, if you ever want to get better, you gotta learn how to take criticism. If you can't, well, maybe art isn't for you. I remember in school, I erased a line on my paper in art class; my teacher called it crap, bit off my eraser, and spat it back at me. =P

Yes we all know I suck at shading things. Im afraid of the dark colors messing up the picture, but If you shade things the way I do it looks worse, no?
With the head looking too big, the Balto movies have odd ways of drawing things, like the perspectives are set so that sometimes ones head or hind quarters will look twice the size they should be. In this pic youre looking down on him from the front so his sholders and heard look a bit disproportionate.
And I already know art is not for me, Clockworkz. =) Just a hobby. Might you have shading tips, though? You seem to know quite a lot about how to do art things "right".
