Well, I heard from people that there is this (un-official) agreement between the players that players are not suppose to use legendary pokemons in their team except least stronger legendary pokemons like Mew, Lati@s, and Deoxy.

Is this true? If there are any other rules/agreements, what are they?

Thanks and sorry if there already are topics like this one..

Basically, entailed within these Pokemon-filtering stipulations are the barring of any Pokemon considered ubers. Right now, it's something like Deoxys-R/Deoxys-F/Deoxys-L/Ho-oh/Lugia/Wobbuffet/Mew/Mewtwo/Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza, but you might want to check that up in the CRMT stickies.

Oh, and no evasion modifiers (Double Team, Minimize, etc.) or luck-based items (Scope Lens, Focus Band, Lax Incense, etc.). Check the CRMT forum for a more exhaustive discussion of what is permissible and what is not.

Remember not everyone abides by these "rules". so you should be prepared to counter these pokes/moves when necessary.

I thought Latios & Latias were in the 00ber group.
I mean, SO HARD TO K.O.!
Oh well.

The only restrictions actually enforced oficially are the Über Clause (Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Mew, Celebi, Jirachi and Deoxys are banned from use on facilities like Battle Tower/Battle Frontier.) and the Sleep/Freeze Clause (You can't put to sleep or freeze more than one Pokémon in your opponent's Team. You can, however, put one to sleep and freeze one. Reinforced mainly in Stadiums/Colosseum/XD.).

Variations include the removal of Mew (Debatable.), Celebi and Jirachi and the addition of Wobbuffet and Lati@s (Whether people allow Lati@s without Soul Dew or no Lati@s regardless of Soul Dew depends on each other.) in the Über Clause. There's also the No-Luck Clause and the No-One Hit KO Moves Clause enforced by some more Elit... eh... Competitive circles...

Minor rules also include the prohibition of set damage Moves such as Dragon Rage (Vital in low-level competitions.).

That's about it...
