A young man once had a dream; he dreamt of a place where he could test his skills in battle against others and where he could aid in bringing up the next generation of Pokemon Trainers. For years he sought the right mixture, the perfect balance for everything required to turn this dream into reality, until one day an old friend came to him with an idea...That spark lit started a wildfire of ideas and plans until finally, at long last, the dream was set into motion and the Battle City was born...
Our goal in the Battle City is to battle,a lot. Not just battling against one another, that is a part of it and necessary for training and growth, but also to wage War against other clans on the site. But being about battles is only half of the story. Here, we welcome Pokemon Trainers from all ages and levels of of proficiency; from a youngster just getting their feet wet in the world of Pokemon, to a 7 year veteran ace trainer, we welcome you all. Whether you're already comfortable with competitive battling or you are a beginner who is hungry for more knowledge, we're here to provide you with the training, resources, and knowledge to help you get to where you want to be. Once again, from your clan leaders VetX and FireStar we thank you for checking out our little clan with a big plan and hope you decide to register.

1. All leader's decisions are final! They will NOT be up for discussion on ANY public area, forum or chat. If you have a personal problem with the decision made, PM a leader and it will be discussed there.
2. No spamming or flaming.
3. Respect all members of the clan, especially your Leaders.
4. Be as active as your real life responsibilities will allow. Post in the clan thread at least once a week.
5. Don't post any complaints you have in the clan thread. Should you have any complaints, you can PM any of the clan leaders and they will help you out.

3. Be mindful of other people's beliefs, if you think your opinion may offend someone on a personal level, then please keep it to yourself.
4. Don't post anything that has absolutely no meaning whilst in a topic. For example: If someone is discussing the effects of items used in battle, don’t post "I liek babies!!!11!" amongst the conversation. This is considered SPAM and repeated offenses will result in Warnings.
5. No impersonating other members of the chat, AT ANY GIVEN TIME! This is very confusing and will not be tolerated.
6. If someone says something in the main chat that offends you, IGNORE THEM, do NOT reply. If it offends you on a personal level, tell a MOD or Leader and they will be asked to stop. If they do not, further action will be taken. If you have to argue with the person, do it in Private Chat so the rest of us don’t have to be involved in it.
7. Avoid excessive use of the CAPS. If you're trying to say something with EXCITEMENT then that's completely fine, but CAPS-locking every line and just yammering on randomly may result in a Warning.

- Specialist - Member chooses a type specific trainer based on his/her favorite/most used pokemon type (i.e. Black Belt = Fighting, Pyro = Fire, Bird Keeper = Flying, Dragon Tamer = Dragon, etc)
- Ace - Member may choose Ace Trainer from DPPt/HGSS/BW to go on their userbar
- Rival - Member chooses a rival trainer, typically from the same game as their Protagonist rank
- Gym Leader - Member is made a Gym Leader based on what specialist he/she chose (with some restrictions)

Ranking up requires a member to meet a list of criteria which may expand or shrink from time to time. The basic rules, which will always apply, for ranking up however, are as follows:
Member MUST:
1. Be an active member of the clan. Yes this is number 1 because it is the most important. An active member is defined as one who...
- Posts in the clan thread 3 or more times each week
- Is regularly on the Battle City Xat Chat board
- Participates in clan activities (these can range from battle tournaments to roleplaying events that the leaders set up).
2. Participate in a minimum required number of battles for each rank-up period, and win the necessary number of matches as well (this will vary by rank and may also be determined by the size of our clan at a given time).
3. Challenge and defeat, or be deemed worthy of a rank-up by the member giving the rank up match. Sometimes we get screwed out of a victory, whether by hax or something else, we've all had it happen and we get that. Just as with test battles, these Rank-Up matches are there to determine skill and progress as a trainer.
4. Not be in a period of suspension on the Xat Chat, due to warnings from violations of the clan CoC (see Thread & Chat Code of Conduct).
Obviously battles play a heavy role in Ranking Up here in the Battle City; here's how it works:
In Battle City, we use a point system that we call Battle Credits (or BC for short). Each Battle won against another member is worth 5 BC, with a bonus of an extra 5BC for each win streak of three consecutive wins and an extra 9BC for every 10 battles, cumulative, you win in the clan. Your BC can also go down, however. If you lose 3 battles in a row, you will lose 3BC and for every 10 battles you lose in the clan, you will lose 9BC.
NOTE: Even if your Battle Credit total falls below the threshold of your current rank, you will not be demoted.
