New comics have been revealed showing the outcome of the Battle Dome episode. I guess these can be relied upon since they were true for the Drew/Arcanine episode as well as the Greta one:

Important events revealed:
Ash wins. So if there were only 3 fillers between this episode and Greta's, what the hell was that 15 episode filler for between Noland's and Greta's matches? Looks like a Dewford Gym repeat is out of the question now.

Ash doesn't use any old Pokemon this time, just Corphish and Swellow, and Tucker uses Swampert and Arcanine.

Let the complaining about how overused and dull Arcanine is begin! But on the bright side, at least it wasn't Charizard.

seriously, Swampert and Arcainine? Arcainine has already been overly showcased, but Swampert too? after Brock's Mudkip evolved to Marshstomp?

Despite Arcanine being about as interesting as an extended director's cut version of the filler 'Whichever Way the Wind Blows', despite there being a complete lack of any proper Frontier rules (a given anyways) and despite Tucker, one of the more interesting characters, suffering the dreaded ONE episode syndrome, its looking to be a kickass battle for definate.

Also, I love that artists style. I really do.

Is it too much to hope for the next Brain to appear 3 episodes after this one? I wonder why they sped up so fast (especially after 15ish episode filler between the last two Brains)...maybe they're planning something big later on?

I would say they made the Dome more interesting in this case. In Emerald, it's just 2 on 2 battling. But they made it a Double Battle. Still, I would've liked to see it be a tournament or something :x Oh well....

EDIT: YES Cybercubed, when the hell is Phanpy going to do something? What was the point of bringing it along if it hasn't even participated in any Frontier fights yet >.>

mmm..i have to congratulate the anime..it really killed the battle frontier ..don you think the same?..now the only thing that's left is that lucy has a milotic and a pokemon that she will never have like....Murkrow?..i must said..i really hate this season..i they took all the trademark pokemon of the Frontier Brains.

Seriously I'm glad Corphish is in it. When was the last time it was even SEEN? I guess they rushed to the Dome so they can have some leeway for when Diamond and Pearl comes out. IMO better to rush the facilities in the middle rather than at the end.

Hey wait a minute. We don't even have the name for the next episode yet. WTF is this?

Swampert is the trademak pokemon of Tucker.

And this episode looks very good. I love what happens, as well as how the pattern is broken.

I really have hopes that the picture with corphish riding on the back of swellow makes its was into the anime battle... it looks awesome.

This looks pretty much cool, except the overused arcanine being used.The best things are its a double battle,Swampert who battlewise hasn't ben seen much and I also like the fact that its in a stadium with an audience

Darn, I was hoping the Fire part to be Torkoal return, unlikely yes but still I had hope.

Why is he dressed as a fairy? That juat screams wrong to me, well do they have these artworks for every episode? Like did they have one for the Mudkip episode? I'm just wondering how close to the Anime these actually are, or I should be saying how close the anime is to these. Well it appears he wins agian, which is a shame because I so want him to lose to Tucker. Well since we just had a filler on Arcanine, I feel that Tucker could of had a different fire type.

I still wonder what will become of Phanpy, hopefully it'll be in the next match line-up. Or its just another filler Pokemon, which does nothing. Which would be such a shame after what they did to it in Johto, battling a Slugma (woo fun), battling a Misrevous (not exactly a highlight for the little guy) and losing to Pryce's Dewgong. It hardly ever one and it seems like its being ignored until the end of the series or it gets a frontier match.

This episode looks like it will be good, I love a good double battle =D

Pity I saw those pictures though, I do like a bit of a surprise when I watch an episode...I shouldn't have looked at them, lol.

Swampert is usually a good opponent...Corphish and Swampert again? Hopefully the battle between them will be better than the Masamune battle.

Tucker looks cool, the Frontier Brains are really good characters I think.

Why the hell didn't Corphish evolve? That thing needs to get bigger! I hope he abandons the frontier and goes to Orre or something. That would be awesome.

Because Corphish doesn't need to evolve and no it doesn't need to be bigger.

Orre is in the Colosseum series only and it sucks. I don't want to see Ash abandon the Battle Frontier because that is a stupid idea and would suck more than Orre does.
