At the battle frontier Dome Superstar Tucker has a Latias and Salan Maiden Anabel has Latios.
I was wondering If I fight one of these (Tucker in my case) will the Lati appear in your pokedex. This would make searching easier.

no. any pokemon you encounter in the battle frontier are not registered in the pokedex as being seen. i had the same idea, but to no avail.

Why you didn't check your pokedex by yourself? And, no, it will never be on your pokedex unless you see it outside of Battle Frontier Facilities, but in Battle Towers area, what you see, you get in your pokdex. (Sudowoodo and Smeargle).

I was wondering because I need Latias and os. I could allways ask my sis to trade her latios to my ruby and then trade back again just so I know where it is.

that won't work they are two different pokemon.

Your 2nd clever idea will not work because they're two pokemons so each of them have their own pokedex entries. You can get in the wild the pokemon you say it's color. Blue=Latios and Red=Latias. Now which you have chosen? You can get the other one, I mean other Lati when you go to Southern Island and you need Eon Ticket.

Do you really NEED one, or are you trying to have it's data added to your pokedex? The way i recommend you find them, is to look at the routes around Mauville city.

And what I meant was in Ruby you automatically have to find Latios. So if I trade my sisters to that game I will be able to see its location. I picked Red in Emerald but noone I know has a Latias.

I have a similar problem. I would like to complete my HoennDex and get a johto starter from prof. Birch and the only missing pokémon is Lunatone! I have Emerald and my friend has Ruby. What a pity that there is no a person with Sapphire around...

I know that it's against the rules to talk about GameSharks, but here's what I did. I have a code, you see, that triggers the event (in Emerald) when your inside your house after you beat the Elite Four. Your mom will ask you what color was the Pokemon on the TV screen. See, with this code, you can say one color, still have the code on again and say the other color, meaning you can encounter both at the same time in Hoenn.

I did that because I could NOT transfer my Eon Ticket from Ruby to either Sapphire or Emerald. Somehow it doesn't transfer at all, even if the Eon Ticket is the legit one I received in a Nintendo Power magazine...

EDIT: That code doesn't screw up your game at all. I've done Island Warp codes to get Ho-oh, Lugia, Deoxys and Mew without the tickets. And this code for the Lati@s is much better than meeting them at Southern Island, except they will not have the Soul Dew.

Becouse I think it is needless to have three similar games and they are not the cheapiest things... I will wait and hope that someone will trade me a Lunetone sometime...

What I wanna know is, aren't there only meant to be one Latias and one Latios in 'existence'. So, like, how come there are at least three - and you have the possibility of 4 (2 of each)?

i said level 39 or 40 for no other pokemon apareat while the max repel efect, only latias(lv 40) may apareat
