Battle Frontier Team

Haven't been having much luck, so I'm trying to remake my team. I've listed 4 Pokemon here, though I'll raise more. I'd prefer to stay within my Emerald version to do this, though.

Latios @Shell Bell
Brave nature (unchangable)
Levitate
EVs: 252 Sp. Att, 40 HP, 216 Speed (Relatively unchangable)
-Dragon Claw
-Thunderbolt
-Psychic
-Recover

Nature is unfortunate, as is item clause. Calm mind should be in there, but I'm out of TMs, so it'll have to wait.

Adamant Nature
Clear Body
EVs: 252 Att, 252 Speed, 4 HP
-Earthquake
-Meteor Mash
-Return
-Rock Slide

Explosion requires out of game tutor and I don't have a Sludge Bomb TM.

Natural Cure
EVs: Whatever the standard is; it's been awhile
-Softboiled
-Aromatherapy
-Seismic Toss
-T-Wave

Bliss. Not bad in the Pike.

I'm not that good with the nature and EVs, item clause...

cursepert isn't useless ingame, but i'm pretty sure mixpert works better in a lot of cases. surf and ice beam on the same moveset help a lot.

CBgross doesn't need that much speed: needs more defenses so it can switch into stuff. Put the excess speed EVs in HP and Def.

There is an Explosion move tutor in the Pacificlog pokemon centre: have you used it yet?

Oh...true. Frontier uses Cursepert, iirc, but it may use Mixpert as well. I have a Starmie (standard) and Regice (standard moveset, random EVs), but they don't deal with EQ that well. I could probably breed Gyarados, but getting the EQ TM to give it some form of a movepool would be fairly difficult.

EDIT: I didn't realize there was an Explosion tutor in Emerald. Haen't used it, so that'll work. Thanks!

Actually, Blaziken doesn't really need EQ. Sky Uppercut and Overheat pretty much cover anything that EQ does.

btw, Lati@s are only banned from the Battle Frontier if they have Soul Dew attached, if I remember right.

You can get explosion at pacifilog town and in the house in dewford with all of the fanatics their is a guy who will give you sludge bomb

I think that Blaziken's nature should be Adamant (as it gets STAB from Overheat anyway and you won't be using it more than once) or I guess a +Atk -defense of your choice one if you really need that extra SAtk, which I doubt.

Never have been able to figure out a good nature for Blaziken. I think I'd prefer the extra Sp.A, but I will rebreed if that doesn't work out.

tbh the only thing you'll really be looking to hurt with overheat are steels, and overheat will ohko skarm and forry and more than likely ohko steelix, not completely sure on steelix...

Souless, Miltank should NEVER be used like a Blissey. It can Heal Bell if you want it to, but seriously, if you're going to use Miltank exactly like a Blissey (Milk Drink / Heal Bell / Seismic Toss / Thunder Wave) than it's not worth using Miltank. Cursing Miltank is much better, but it definitely doesn't fill Blissey's role.

You give up a little special attack for far more defense, and lose attack you will not be using. This will also help you when you are confused to take less damage. Moreover, physical sweepers are more common in the BF (Aside from the factory for some bizzare reason), so you will NEED that defense.

I never said it should be used like Blissey...and yes Cursetank is the best Miltank set.

I was confused as to why you'd replace Blissey with Miltank though because I was assuming you wanted Miltank to fill Blissey's role as a Special Wall and Tank. Sorry about that.
