Battle Maison Multi Battle

So having this annoying issue with trying to connect to my friend who is using X. I know they can match up and play together, already did a quick test battle, so there shouldn't be an issue.

Every time we try to connect in the multi battle it says "You can't battle together with this trainer". I checked on Serebii's page about the complications between the two games. My buddy is trying to use a Charizard and Greninja while I'm trying to use a Porygon-Z and Delibird.

Has anyone had this issue before?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to have Multi battles in the Battle Maison if one system is using X/Y and the other is using OR/AS. The info given on the main site is incorrect in this case.

Also, somewhat unrelated, I find it interesting that you are trying to use a Delibird in the Battle Maison, that's the first time I've heard of one being used there.
