• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible

Do some research about EV's, IV's and natures. That will help you train your pokemon properly and you'll start to see better results and stronger pokemon.

Post IVs, EVs, etc.

And please, don't use the Gentle Eeks Rotom. Breed a Modest or Timid one.

And funny, I have an Emboar with the exact same nature.

Though not impossible, the Battle Subway is much more difficult with Pokemon that have not been EV trained or IV bred (though the latter isn't as important).

The one thing you should remember is that there isn't necessarily 1 pokemon perfect for the Battle Subway, instead, think of team synergy instead.

For the sake of example, I'm going to use my Battle Tower team from Platinum, consisting of Latias, Scizor, and Suicune.

Scizor has one of the highest natural base Attack stats of any Pokemon, but that doesn't mean he'll do it singlehandedly. His biggest fear, Fire, is easily controlled by Suicune and Latias, both of whom resist it. Suicune fears Electric, Latias resists. Latias fears Ice, Scizor and Suicune resist.

Don't ask someone to build your team for you, put a good one together yourself, and ask others to help make it better.

That's the same as my SS Tower team xD I used TrickScarf Charm Latias, SD Scizor, and SubCM Suicune. Got to 91 before I lost due to matchups. The 3 of them have perfect synergy. Also tried Uxie and Cresselia before Latias. In Platinum, I lost at 88 due to making a stupid move, using Trick on Staraptor 4, the CB one. 2HKOed my entire team, but died before it could Brave Bird Scizor again, then Scizor died to a Togekiss's Heat Wave. Also made stupid move #2 by CMing against Staraptor.

My best streak was 141 :D

I don't remember what I lost on, that streak ended at least a year ago, if not two.

Personally I think EV training and Natures are vital when trying to get to 49, IV breeding isn't as necessary, but helps alot. Totally agree with you btw, though.

Natures and Ev training are musts aswell as synergy there are helpful guides in either thios rmt or in the copetitive rmt
