Battle Tents

Battle Tents took the place of most Contest Halls in Emerald and they had special rules similar to the Battle Frontier facilities. Did you battle at these facilities as practice for the Battle Frontier?

I used to spend time at these tents because they were fun to compete in at first, but then when the Battle Frontier opened I stopped battling at the tents.

I recall battling at the Battle Tent in Kaina (Slateport) City quite a bit when I first played through Emerald version since it was modeled after the Battle Factory, but I eventually grew tired of it, and I haven't competed at any of the Battle Tents in my Emerald game in over a decade.

I didn't like the Battle Tents at all. Sorry but they were pointless once the Battle Frontier was open to the public and I would've rather seen the Contest buildings stay in Verdanturf, Slateport and Fallarbor.

I think that the Battle Tents being restricted to one single facility would've been a good idea. I thought it was a shame that three of the Contest Halls had to be changed into Battle Tents in Emerald.

Thought they were a fun little place but not worth going there that much because other battle facilities like the Trainer Hill place or the BF were way better.

The prizes were also very disappointing, I wish they rewarded you with things like evolutionary stones/items and rare TMs instead.

I had forgotten that we even received prizes for winning at the various Battle Tents, but after doing some research I realized that we get common items for winning, which feels like a huge letdown given that most of the battles can be tricky.

They were like a mini Battle Frontier but I never took advantage of them because the prizes sucked and I would rather battle at the true Battle Frontier.
