Battle Tower help? [Sapphire]

iirc, battle tower forces you to only use three pokemon for the entire challenge, i.e. you can't switch around between battles. so.

modest and streamlined evs because 3 on 3 would in my reckoning about hitting stuff harder than trying to defend and stall out the other team. i figured it was easier to take advantage of her lovely hp to cover both defenses.

i'm not sure about what kind of role i need my final team member to fill. i've got boltbeam/special sponging, and a physical sweeper/tank. it's really difficult working out type coverage when you only have three. i honestly have no idea, not even as to how difficult the battle tower actually is and whether i'm wasting my effort training for it this seriously.

The problem is, both your Pokemon are weak to Fighting.

Out of Golem and Rhydon, I prefer Rhydon. You can either use your one with the CB, or have the one with Swords Dance. But you could also have a Sub-Punching one.

For your last slot, put in something with some speed, and that covers some types you haven't touched on yet. Like Sceptile, Naive Blaziken, Shiftry, Heracross, Medicham, Houndoom or Gengar.

Problem with having both Clefable and Golem/Rhydon is that you're subsceptible to Fighting-type attacks. That means that Shiftry and Houndoom aren't options anymore.

Mega Horn is really cool for Rhydon imo..

anyways... maybe something like Dragonite? :/ That fighting is gonna be a problem maybe. (I thought of Xatu actually. XD) Gardevoir is cool too...
