Lately at random times I have been getting a huge box concerning some viewpoint media player or whatever. It's come up near my bar with the little icons like MSN, and has given me no closing option. The only way I'm able to close it is with Windows Task Manager.

Now extra stuff is happening to my computer, such as when it came up I couldn't minimize windows, now heaps of images on SPP and SPPf I can't see (including the new thread image, meaning I manually had to type in the URL to make a new thread.)

I can see it in Add/Remove programs if that makes any difference. But I don't want to remove it in case Viewpoint media player is actually a benign and legitamite program.

I've run spyware and adware checks, and on that little "Running Bot Check:" bar, some interesting things were shown on that bar: porn_hijacker, winfixer2005, heaps of dialers, and hacker.ag. No idea if these do any harm, but it may be a connected problem.

So, my question is, benign or malicious?

If your talking about Spybot there it's just the things it searches for, not things it finds on the computer

@Latios: Oh, OK, thanks. ^^ I just found it to be intrusive and thought it may send me something malicious if I clicked Update.

@Paradox: Oh, I see. That would explain why the number goes up when I update detection rules. *slaps forehead* Sorry for being such a retard. ^^;;;
