berry glitch problems

I can't get my berry glitch fixed. I tried fixing it with my emerald and leaf green versions. The game that has the glitch is my sapphire.When I attempted it the sapphire version started updating the berry glitch and then stopped in the middle of the procces and said "unable to update berry program please turn of your gameboy and remove the link cord." I made sure that my link cord was in correctly.

Is your Sapphire a pirate version? If so, there's your answer. If it's not a pirate version, then maybe it's the cable: Is your cable an Interact/Pelican/other 3rd party link cable? If so, then don't take any chances: All those unofficial, wanna-be-official link cables are actually njot fully compatable w/ Nintendo consoles because they don't undergo Nintendo's unique testing process, and thus may damage your system and/or game if you try to use it... Use an official cable if you don't want damage to your saved game data. End of story.

Is your Sapphire version actually colored black? That's what I mean by pirate version, just to let you know... If you see black instead of blue on a Sapphire version, then no wonder you can't get the BG fixed: It's a bootleg... Which rings a bell in your brain... Di you buy your Sapphire off of Ebay or another auction site? Maybe that's your answer...

Then there may be a dent in the link. If that's the case, then maybe that's your answer: Check your link. If there's damage on it, then get it replaced. Fast.

if i dont need a berry update then will it fix itself or stay without the time working.
