Hi,

How come I can't seem to find the word "contest" in the options for the berry masters wife? Anyone know where it is? Thank you!

Also.. where are the berry blenders located at the top of the PokeCenter? I can't seem to find those either.;340;

umm are you playing the same game as everyone else?
there isnt berry blenders in the pokecentres.
if you press select then go to 'C' search in there and you will find it.

I think you need to have been in a contest to unlock the word, but just check in the C section.
There aren't any berry machines in the pokemon centers. To do the multiplayer berry mixing, you have to use the mixer in one of the contest places that doesn't have any characters next to it.

Well obviously I am playing the same game. I tried that, and contest is not in my "C's". Meaning, I cant say to the Berry Master's Wife "Challenge Contest". I didnt word my original question right, where can I find the Berry Grinders? The berry woman in Slateport Market says that to crush the berries to make berry powder, you need to go to the top of the Pokecenter and there is a Berry Crushing Machine. There is no berry crushing machine. So any idea how I can get either of these things? ;351; I AM playing Pokemon Emerald.

Thanks Hukuzo! I have been in a contest before.. so thats why I'm so puzzled about this. Maybe I have to win a certain amount of contests?

I think you have to use the wireless adapter to crush berries.

just searched the forum according to most people you need to have a contest pass

edit: tell a lie was right the first time, you gotta beat the elite four

edit: or it might be winnig master rank contest

and the berry crushing is multiplayer i think its only emerald fr and lg

Not Berry Blending, they are the only ones with Berry Crushing. Well, if Berry Crushing is wireless it probably isn't at the Direct Corner, which means its only other place would be the Union Room.

o sorry i ment berry crushing, if your playing R/S there is no berry crushing, if your playing E then it should be there, check again

I've berry crushed many times in my Emerald game. It's in the Direct Corner, and the menu option will only come up if you a wireless adapter is connected.

And although I've won master rank contests in all five categories, "Contest" hasn't been added to my list yet. Maybe I have to beat the E4 first. . . .

You need to beat the E4 before you get the words 'Contest', and maybe for 'Hustle' and 'Battle' as well, I'm not sure. I can't find the way to get 'Lati@s', does anyone know how to get this???

you have to have the pokedex entry for lati@s to appear in the volcabulary

If you dont know when searching for words if you press select or start or something like that it turns into a letter search. So then you pick with letter it starts with and it should be in there.

To get the word contest in your vocabulary you have to beat the leugue!

To get "Contest" and "Hustle" in your vocabulary, you have to beat the league, and to get "Lati_s," you have to have seen your game's Lati_s. So the only special berry you can get from the Berry Master's Wife, before beating the Elite Four, is the one accessed with "Great Battle."

Actually, as soon as you've seen a pokémon, it appears in the vocabulary. So if you trade in a Latios/Latias to your game before beating the elite 4, they should appear in your vocabulary, and you can get the berry then, I think...

You anly need to see a Lati@s to have it addes to your vocabulary. And I know for a fact that the only way to add contest to your vocabulary is to defeat the elite four and the champion.

To get "contest" in your vocabulary, you must beat the E4. You can also battle someone with a Lati@s and that'll count as seeing it.
