Berry question

Regarding the berries on emerald that reset ev's, if say, you've traded an espeon from XD with the right nature and moveset, but with screwed up ev's from having to complete the game, when you use berries to reset the ev's do you only have to use one berry per stat? ( attack for example ) or do you have to use more?

you have to give it the maximum amount it can take from each so that you reset all of its evs

Each of these berries remove 10 EVs. You don't know what EVs you have on Espeon so give it berries until it says 'it won't have any effect' (if you have max happiness) or 'Espeon's [stat] can't be lowered' (if you don't have max happiness).
