No, that would be rather, well, dumb.

I know it only works if your in-time thingy runs dry, then it lets the berrys grow or something.

the only thing you'll have to worry about is you can't grow berries... you can't evolve eevee into espeon/umbreon.... it'll only evolve to whatever one your clock is stuck on. Also time based sales events won't happen as well as shoal cave will be stuck at one of the tides...

Yes. The fix keeps the clock running when, without it, the clock would normally stop after 1 year. The clock affects the following things:

  • Berry growth
  • Berry givers (including the Berry Master's Wife, which can be bad if you haven't received all of the rare Berries from her)
  • Day/night evolution (Espeon/Umbreon)
  • Shoal Cave
  • Secret Base rematches
  • Lottery drawings
  • Mirage Island
  • Energy Guru Stupendously Going for It/Lilycove Department Store Rooftop Clearout Sale/Mauville Game Corner Service Day
  • Rare Pokemon outbreaks (Mixing Records may still allow these to occur)
  • Pokerus (I'm not sure, but it may not spread when you have the Berry Glitch)
  • Pokemon Fanclub President's brother, who gives you TM 21 or TM 27 every 7 days
  • Rocket Launches (not that they matter)
That's all I can think of.

It's not "for" anything... that's why it's a glitch. 'course I know what you mean, and the answer to your real question is you can't really use it to your advantage.

As far as Pokerus, I think it will still spread, but it won't wear off. Isn't that how it works in FR/LG, which doesn't have a clock? I'm not sure myself, either, but that's what I think.
