Which is the better Follow Me damage sponge: Clefable or Togetic? And why?

Which one is used more often in the sponge role?

Finally are Clefable and Togetic, in general, considered sweepers, tanks or annoyers?

toegitc is generally a tank,and clefable can make use of alot of moves in its HUGE movepool so it can be alot of stuff

anyways,unless togetic has some sort of recovery move that is not rest(ex:recover)id just use clefable

I'd say Togetic because of its better defences.

Why Follow me? it´s just a pseudo Protect, but your Pokémon dies!
The only strategy I can think using Follow me is Folow me + Focus Punch, but if your opponent uses surf or any other "hits both opponent" attack, you have it failed.

If you really want Follow Me, then I´d pick Clefable, it has less weakness.

I´d suggest Helping hand, best attack on double battles IMO.

But Togetic doesn't have HP to back up those defences - it's the same as Alakazam's (272). That's low.

I raised a Clefable to be a soak-up. If I knew Clefairy learned Cosmic Power it would have been something like this

Follow-Me
Cosmic Power
Double Team
Softboiled
@ Bright Power

But I didn't know, so mine has Metronome instead.

Suffice it to say, I think Clefable works better. You just have to get lucky first... XD So overall I don't think the sponge-Pokemon is that great, but it could be good with some luck.

Clefable doesn't have as many weaknesses as Togetic and has slightly higher stats.

Neither. They are both annoyers.

Annoyers. They neither have passable defenses nor offenses. They learn a variety of annoyer attacks. However, I have seen a Togetic or two with Flamethrower/Psychic/Magical Leaf/Thunder Wave. (sweeper)

Between those two, I'd just pick Clefable. It doesn't have so many weakness, and its base status HP is higher. You can breed a Clefable with Substitute (egg moves) and then use Follow Me, at least Clefable HP is higher, so it could take more damages.

i pick Togetic. It is much better with it(my Magmar learn follow me)
