Best and Worst Rivals in the games

I would make this a poll but id have to put all the combinations and im lazy :). Choices if you can remember are Blue from R/B/Y/FR/LG, The Long haired jerk from G/S/C, Brendan/May from R/S/E, Blondie from D/P, Lucas/Dawn from D/P. I personally think the best is a tie between Blue and whatshisface from G/S/C. Blue was always a pain in the butt he actually gave me trouble with his teams, he won the pokemon league and was champion and wound up with the viridian city gym in G/S/C. The Rival in G/S/C was just a bully and pushed you around all the time and you could fight him over and over at the end. I think Brendan/May are the worst. All they do is help you and they're final teams only have four pokemon.

BTW im new to the forums. D/P got me back into pokemon.

Silver, hands down, he was just amazing, the total opposite of all the other rivals practically, you actually WANTED to crush him, whereas now, you just can't be bothered with the overly-happy hometown rivals.

That's how I see it, anyway...

Except Blue. (Gary)
He acts like a stuck up punk to you, and his pokemon can be very tough to beat if you don't level up your pokemon a lot.
Not to mention he becomes the Elite four champion.

Blue was THE rival. He wanted to be better than you and really SHOWED IT. Plus, which other rival had a catchphrase?

Silver took all the "better than you" from Blue, and transferred it into "STRONGER THAN EVERYBODY." Plus, he's the only person in the entirety of the series to KICK you. Gary from Yellow shoved you, but still...

Brendan and May were... Well, they're what made the R/S/E games seem too easy for me. But they do give you some nifty stuff, so that's a bonus, right?

Dawn/Lucas... I'd say more of a... Hm... They don't really do anything, sans that double battle in Veilstone. Eh, his/her sister is useful for swarms...

Barry (the hyperactive and true rival of D/P) was a nicer Blue. Completely the opposite from Silver. I thought he was subpar to Blue, but to me, every other rival is. I guess it was a matter of "first is best".

May was quite easy for me as well, but it stinks that her starter pokemon didn't reach it's final form.

I like Barry, he's quite funny when he keeps bumping into me and when he forgets to pick up a pokedex at the start.

Blue he actully was a challenge and really acted like a rival. I say the worst is the R/S/E cause the D/P rivals were some what of a challenge.

Ya mums a mum
silver was the best because he was the most angry and pokemon needs more real people instead of happy go lucky people

I seriously think Blue(Gary) from Leaf green is the best!! He is well the best fighter, in my opion.

Gary/Blue got on my nerves. "Smell ya later" was never a cool thing to say. And the 3rd gen rivals are just boring. The D/P rival is cute though. In an "aww, look how fluffy" kind of way.

^I thought he was pretty cool. He is only a kid after all. And we all did pwn him. So yeah, I liked Blue & Silver. They were good.

D/P and FR/LG rivals are the best cause you gonna battle them anytime. The worst one is Brendan/May cause their starter didn't reached to the final evolved form.

Silver by far. Typical badass, liked shoving you around and even steals Pokemon. The fact that Sneasel is one of them? Heh heh heh.

Silver. It was the birth of the VS Seeker before it was even thought of :D

Blue is the original and best, he's cocky and has a lot of potential. You really wanted to beat him.

Silver on the other hand...I just wanted to throw him into jail, he was nothing compared to what Blue was in terms of power and all.

Wally sucks big time and the other rival as well. There were no real rivals that were worthy to battle against in R/S.

I don't know about D/P.
