Best Card Art

Here is a thread stating your favorite artist for the cards and why. My friend says Ken Sugimori is the best but I dissagree. I think Kouki Saitou is the best because he makes Pokemon similar to the way Ken does, but puts them in a pose doing something.

Best clay art: Yuka Morii

Ken Sugimori is okay but I really love Kagemaru's and Atsuko's art. And Keiji's clay art was just weird....>.>;

I love so many artists especially Sugimori. I especially love his Misty's Tentacool underwater illustration
Atsuko Nishida's Bulbasaur is beautiful and has this incredible jelled-pastel look. She/he also did good with Misty's Psyduck in the gymleader collection. And when I look at Dark Dragonair by Karemaru Himeno, the name "Crystal Clair" comes to mind
In cell-shading I like Hisao Nakamura's Seedot, Sumiyoshi Kizuki's Abra,

My Favourite Card Artists would have to be...

Kagemaru Himeno.

Reason: Not only is he an excellent Artist, but in the Advanced Cards, he has 'sunlight rings' in the backround of every card he draws.

Examples: Skitty, Umbreon


Kouki Saitou.

Reason: I love the way he draws Pokemon, and he uses these little diagonal lines for shading which looks great. Heh...because of it, now I do diagonal lines for shading in my drawings :redface:

Examples: Meowth, Combusken


Atsuko Nishida.

Reason: His art looks almost like a painting...it's so elegant but the Pokemon still look amazing.

Examples: Breloom, Smoochum


Out of the 3, I'd have to say Kagemaru Himeno is my all-time favourite Card Artist.

Everyone who visits the TCG forum knows how much of a nut I am about Atsuko Nishida. The Hidden Legends Milotic is the most beautiful-looking card of all.

Well I don't really play anymore nad don't have my cards to check but I lvoe the art on the Shiny Gyarados. It's by far my favourite.
