Magneton and Magnetric should be OK!!
Magneton has lower HP and SPEED compared to Magnetric but it is steel type.....and its SP ATK is almost the same with Magnetric..!
Jolteon and Electebuzz is also GREAT!!

Electrode is ok.
Magneton is ****.
Manetric is ok.
Electabuzz is probably your best bet.
But Zapdos, Raikou or Jolteon are better.

Yes,it worth but its sp.atk is quite low so should choose the correct natures!!!!It's EXPLOSION!!!WOW!!!

Back after 1 year+
Lanturn makes a decent electric tank, and with it's high HP and it being a water type, it can Surf ground types to death, along with Ice beaming grass types. Plus if you get volt absorb, it'll have full immunity to electric attacks.

I'd go with Manetric. I think its a great Pokemon.

This depends on what you are looking for. Raichu and Lanturn make great Paratractfusioners, Electabuzz is a good sweeper, Jolteon is a good Agility BPer, and Ampharos is a good SubPuncher, and can also learn Fire Punch.

Well, It's not an electric, but it's good: Groudon. It can learn any electric TM,
and it can defeat electric types with Earthquake. If legendaries don't count, then sorry.

Thanks for your opinions guys but I've just started emerald and I've only defeated 4 gyms so I can't get pokemons from FR/LG and pokemons like groudon and chinchou. I want an electric so that I can defeat the 6th gym.
Anyway I've narrowed it down to:
Manectric
Electrode
Magneton
So which one shall I take?

Magnetric it has good attacks magnaton is weak against fire and very weak against ground 6th and 7th mabye 8th gym leaders have earthquake also u might want 2 get a pokemon that can learn blizzard because the altaria has earthquake
