best place for attack ev training

Well, I'm a leaf green player and so far I've been working on ev training my shiny Tauros. Currently, I'm ev training him on the machops and makeys in the rock tunnel, but my problem is that geodudes and zubats are way too common, I'll sometimes have to go through running away from 5 or 6 geodudes/zubats before finding a single machop or mankey. EV training is a pain in the ***** as it is and it's taking an absurdly long time at this rate, is there any place in leaf green that's better than the rock tunnel for getting attack EVs?
