Has to be the Battle Frontier ep, Jungle Palace Battle.

That was immense, how it was all put together.

Heracross vs Hassamu plz. It was excellently animated, and since it was a one on one battle, they had more time to focus on just the two of them. Plus the battle music owned.

Oh yeah, the Scizor versus Heracross battle was fantastic. One on one battles can be better than 6 vs 6 since they have more focus. I also liked Charizard vs. Articuno and Pikachu vs. Raichu in that retrospect.

I thought of a few good Hoenn/BF battles:

Ash vs. Juan (though Grovyle vs. Luvdisc sucked)
Combusken vs. Breloom
Ash vs. Kaede
Grovyle vs. Exploud
Ash vs. Noland
Ash vs. Spencer

Ash in Indio League where Krabby kicked butt. That was lovely. Heh, :)

The battle against Harrison in Johto League was great too.

Allow me to express my surprise/concern that only seizureman mentioned Katie ._. Easily one of the best battles in the series

May vs. Grace
Combusken vs. Breloom
Scizor vs. Heracross
Zangoose vs. Seviper

I dunno why I keep seeing Drake popping up. The battle wasn't terrible, per se, but there were many, many better battles. If people liked that battle because of the Dragon Types, that's just pathetic.

BEST battle Ever was between Lt Surge and Ash, Pikachu Vs Raichu!

Ash vs. Tyson and Morrison was a bit mediocre. The battles were rushed into one episode each and most of the battles were one hit ko's. Not very suspenseful. Anyway, I just thought of 3 more good fights. Skarmory vs. Cyndaquil, Charizard vs. Magmar, and Bulbasaur vs. Meganium. Also there were many good battles in the movies: Mewtwo vs. Mew, Deoxys vs. Rayquaza, Charizard vs. Entei etc.

This should be in anime polls.

My favorite battle is the first battle Ash had with Norman, I don't know why. I always love the starting episodes of a new region, and it was a good battle, despite my favorite Pokemon being beat like a ragdoll.
