I say Charmander too, it's really cool!!! (but Squirtle is a lot more useful :()

usually the 'best' is the water type, due to the pokemon can learn ice beam and takes the grass pokemon down nicely. But I personally chose a charmander!

Squirtle is the best though...

id say charamander;004; is the coolest one but if u think for a fast win and stuff/first few gyms. i'd say that Bulbasaur;001; is the best starter for em all on a strategic point of view. But i chose Squirtle

Bulbasaur, purly from a stratigic Point of View, you dont run inot a gym you wont have a Strength/Slight Resistance too untill Blaine/Sabbrina.

Bulbasaur.. mainly because I have this thing for Grass starting Pokémon.. like Satoshi/Ash? (how he always has grass starting - Bulbasaur, Bayleef, Grovyle save the other starting in Kanto/Johto)

I also like Charmander, but Bulbasaur's kinda cuter to me. ;x Just say.. I have a thing for Grass starters.. and not because it's easier to progress through the game.. because it is.

Bulbasaur's cute. x3 And strong.. and.. yeah.
