best team ever ?

what is or was your team that you used to beat all the gyms and elite 4 on any of these games i'm currently working on emerald myself trying to find a effective team that will take me through the gyms and elite four without a real struggle any suggestions ?

Maybe because it's true but over half the Internet population don't get it?

Although, some pokémon do seem more effective ingame than others.
Anyway, basically you should have a fire type, a water type, a flying type, an electric type, then 2 others of your choice. You don't have to have this, but it makes the game easiest IMO.

1st team (Legendary Team)
1) Latios
2) Latias
3) Groundon
4) Kyogre
5) Jirachi
6) Deoxys
(And sometimes I switch between Raquazza, Mewtwo, and the 3 Regis, Birds, or Dogs)

2nd team (non-Legenary Team)
1) Charizard
2) Feraligatr
3) Sceptile
4) Lunatone
5) Electabuzz (Dunno if it is spelled right)
6) Steelix

lol Every one of those are Uber, except for the Slaking, which has the highest Atk stat in the game anyway. How about you try making a team without Ubers next time (although Slaking's fine)?

I think a best team can be possible if you have 6 pokemon with none of them have the same weakness (e.g. Heracross and Metagross are both weak to fire so these can't be used together) and this can "COUNT" as a best team but someone out there will have a better team than you so best teams don't really exist. Someone can beat an UBER team but lose to a team with Jumpluff and a pikachu, you never know. Anyway, once you make your "best team", go-on ahead and get thrashed in Frontier like everyone else and just so you know, The pokeleague is like flicking an ant compared to Battle Frontier.
I will believe in a "best Team" if you get all seven gold symbols with three " Best team" pokemon (without A.R. of course).

There is no such thing as a best team.

Having no two pokemon with the same weakness severely limits your potential to choose pokemon, and then you have to worry about not just single types, but what the standard sets have. In other words, if you have one pokemon weak to ice, one weak to electric, another weak to poison, and yet another weak to fighting, you've got 4 pokemon taken down by Gengar alone. Then there's not just type matchups, you also have to consider base stats. Prediction is what often determines the end result of a battle. Not neccessarily the pokemon. My team on NB has a 4x Fire weak with Celebi, Regice, Metagross, and Skarmory, but I don't care. Fire isn't a common type, anyway, so it's not something you really think about. Skarm isn't meant to take special hits anyway, and Regice can take non-STABed Fire Blasts easy. Metagross shouldn't be switching into Special attacks anyway, so it's not like it makes any difference. Now, Celebi just plain comes with a lot of weakneses. 7 weaknesses, one 4x to Bug. But people still use it because it's an awesome pokemon. According to your definition of a perfect team, Celebi would have no place on it, however, it is one of the most versatile and durable pokemon in existance. If it didn't have those weaknesses, it would be Uber.

Hmm... I'm glad I posted this. Now that I think about it, FlameClaw Dragonite tears through me... Time for a new team. lol

lol sure sure well anyway in some ways there is a best team thing but in others no because every pokemon can be defeated so every team can be defeated right? not true because (this more for double battles) if you have a team that has pokemon to cover each others weakness then you can prevent your pokemon from its weakness i know a lot of people are not going to like what i say next but im going to say it anyway YES you can get a best team ONLY if you make a team that every or nerly every pokemon has a defrent type there ev in there right stats and thay the right attacks then yes mabey there could be a perfect team but so far i have never seen one thats why im trying to make my team the best it can be.

Hmmm. I don't think there's a BEST team. I do like using legendaries though.

My Dream Team (Double Battles) is:

Venasaur
MewTwo
Charizard
Kyogre
Mew
Sableye

Yeah, I know a few types overlap. Still, Mew can come in real handy. I use the Kyogre and then bring out MEW to double up on Waterspouts. Or, sometimes I will copy an enemy poke. Usually the Venasaur and Mewtwo do pretty good by themselves too. I don't do competitive though. They're just the normal team. I doubt they would last very long in competition against a real opponent.
