Better Training Areas

D/P needs good training areas cos R/S/E don't really have any except for the Gym Leaders and Elite Four over and over again.

FR/LG have the Sevi Islands where your Pokemon level up really fast cos the wild Pokemon are 50+ so I hope there is an area with stronger Pokemon then Victory Road.

Do you agree?

Awaiting October.
sort of like mount battle but once you finish the challenge all the trainers change their pokemon

i always train up in the elit four it's easy and it levels them up fast

maybe d/p should have a trainers vally where 100's of trainers come to battle all with level 60 pokemon and the grand master of those trainers should be the dude from emerald

Perhaps there could be a special training fascility in the game, where a man sets two dozen or so Pokemon lose into a paddock and you have to faint all of them within a short time limit in order to recieve a prize, like a berry or a TM. It would be rather like a Safari Zone, only with battling instead of catching.
It would be ideal for gaining experience points, and could also be incorparated as a mulitplayer Wi-fi feauture; in which 2-to-4 players must compete to faint the most Pokemon in a certain time limit.

I think they should make more places, like Mount Battle or Sevii Islands.

And, Denuel, please practice English a bit, I can hardly understand you.

i agree, mount battle is really useful or training, it should be present in the GBA/DS games as well!

Most defently becuase on my Emerald I can only win battle swap as I can't train up easy, right now im fighting the elites over and over plus they arn't challenging.
So a good place to train would be good.

This is just a supposition, but hear me out:

Within several locales of the region you would be able to find certain barred-off places that have no apparent means of access. There might be one inside the volcano, one situated deep in the jungle, and still another leading into the edge of a quarry. All in all, there are eight such areas, but you'll know they're connected since not only will they bear the same suspicious insignia on the door that blockades them, but also pressing A by the doors will tell you that it "sealed fast with an ancient lock".

But get this! After you defeat the Elite Four about three-four times, the gyms will toughen themselves up to extraordinary proportions, pushing into the 80s in terms of levels while your projected mean team level after beating the E4 lies in the 60-70 range (you need to use Pokemon caught/hatched in your version for this, otherwise the game will state that the trainer-Pokemon bond is too weak). Each one of the gym leaders will give your badge an Activation Ceremony when you defeat him or her for the second time around, and with each ceremony you gain access to one of these areas. You need to find which area this is - you can tell since its insignia will glow - and just go up and press A, and presto! it will open.

What exactly do these areas do, might you ask? Well, normally they don't seem all that special - all that stands out about them is that they are all the same uniform size, rather spacious, and they contain a large Pokeball insignia on the floor - but beyond that they simply contain the local stock of Pokemon. However, once you open all of them up and defeat that level 90-100 Elite Four, something miraculous! you awaken the spirits - all of the Pokeball insignia light up in the room, and when you return to them all the battles have a really scary-creepy remix to them as you fight souped-up, fully evolved, generally good-IV possessing, EV trained level 100 wild Pokemon that contain incredibly rare egg moves in these places. You can't catch them via normal means, either - in fact, you won't be able to catch them until two-three years in the future, since you since the Emerald equivalent version to obtain a Feral Ball. They're very pricy at $30000 a piece and function only to the extent of a Great Ball on these Pokemon, but it's well worth the blood and sweat to get a truly valuable and reliable Pokemon from these places.

Of course, you still get a boatload of EXP points from them, so consider yourself satisfied.

Eszett, I normally I like your ideas, and think of you as one of the smarter people around the D/P section. But come on, that was bad for you.

I rather have a new cave or simple area to train, just as RGBY/GSC had. I'd like to see a place like the Sevi Islands, but that should be held for the 3rd installment. That sort of thing is too much for the original two. Fr/Lg I think can bypass this; they were remakes of the very originals after all.

Hm? What did you find bad about that? This would be a hardly-documented feature, one you'd need to discover yourself, and while lacking in modesty it's really not that much different from facing those souped-up Pokemon you find in the Battle Pyramid. Perhaps they're a bit too easy to catch, and in retrospect I think they needn't be EV trained or elsewise put at a lower level, but if we allow people to put level 100 Tail Whipping Blisseys in their Secret Bases from exorbitant experience gains, I don't see how this would be a serious compromise to the overall enjoyability and usability of the game.

However, I still think the gyms should scale up to suit the level bracket from 50-80 while the Elite Four should scale itself up to levels 90-100. By insating

No, it's a good idea, up to the EV trained wild Pokemon. Why bother? We need more easy experience. Just catch them for Pokedex. Wild Blisseys would give **** loads of EXP though, we need more easy training and higher levels in general.

i agree with most of you who think that the elite four, victory road and gym leaders should be tougher but another way could be for a new place like Mt. Silver in G/S/C where there are much stronger wild pokemon and some really strong trainer at the end

What 'bout My Star?
Yes, also some areas, like certain routes, or the Park like area's pokemon should (or could) get better as you get farther in the game. That would be ingenious!

Well... the Unknown Dungeon in RBY was the best. Wild Chansey ftw.

But they've felt like downgrading them for some dull reason.

GSC's overall Level was low. The strongest were in Mt. Silver... Level 50 tops.

RS had the Sky Pillar, with decent Level 60 tops. Too bad Emerald downgraded it...

The Cerulean Cave in FR/LG was downgraded as well. BADLY. I think the top Level is 60. The Pokémon are much weaker than those in RBY, and Chansey was replaced with Wobbuffet... >__>

The Unknown Dungeon in RBY was best. Level 65 or even more tops. Powerhouses like Rhydon and Chansey...

So yes. A better place. Maybe the final dungeon should have Level 70 or 75 Pokémon this time? That'd be the ideal...

I agree with Eszett's idea on how the badges should unlock areas. The badges actually need to have more of a purpose on being special insignias / talismans / badges-of-honor or whatever. There needs to be some background on why the badges were made, though. And what other purpose can they serve besides showing off to other people? They need to have a purpose besides that.

I don't know about you guys, but I find and know which places are good to train in FR/LG and Emerald. I level my Pokemon in certain areas in which they are stronger against wild ones for a bit, then head to another area. I don't get that bored by doing training in one area for awhile. I've trained in the one route where the Feebas were located, and I came across a shiny Feebas (now a Milotic) by staying in that area for 1 and a half real-time months.
