Beyond Good and Evil
A/N: Yes, this is based on the game ‘Beyond Good and Evil.’ You’ve probably haven’t played it (you should), but no knowledge of the game is needed to play.
DomZ.
The very name strikes fear into the hearts of old and new.
Over one hundred years ago, the DomZ first struck. The demonic aliens arrived by way of meteors, striking every planet in each and every galaxy. Some offensive planets managed to press them back, but many succumbed to the wrath of the alien organization.
People were kidnapped, taken to the planets where these mysterious DomZ aliens inhabited. They were then put under horrendous tortures, their blood as an energy source for the DomZ.
DomZ struck. People died.
Then, one day, an odd military force found their way to these planets. They drove back the DomZ, able to wipe out an entire armada of these aliens. They then provided care for the wounded, protected citizens, patrolled city streets, virtually becoming one with the planet’s military. They called themselves the Alpha Section.
Around the time the Alpha Section came, another organization known as IRIS came as well. A group of seemingly normal people, doing things nobody knew of, staying very secretive. Only those who were a part of the organization knew. Thus, their secretiveness brought on terror, the Alpha Sections blaming IRIS for the DomZ attacks. And since the Alpha Sections helped the people, and the IRIS didn’t, everyone believed in the Alpha Sections.
Then, one day, on the mining planet of Hillys, everything changed.
A young reporter girl known as Jade joined IRIS. She revealed to the world that the Alpha Sections were actually the ones behind the DomZ attacks, kidnapping Hillyans, sending them to the DomZ, and basically wreaking havoc everywhere. She showed proof that the Alpha Sections were torturing these citizens, aided by her Hillyan ‘Uncle’, Pey’J, and an IRIS operative, ‘Double H.’ The three of them faced off against the leader of the planet’s DomZ, and defeated it, liberating citizens, and ending the DomZ and Alpha Section attacks.
But times change. Times of peace are always affected, because at one point they must end...
The serene planet of Hillys. One hundred years after the reign of Jade and her cronies. Her story is known by all Hillyans, as the tales of her quest are passed down from generation to generation. All was peaceful, what with no more wars on their planet.
Then one day, a crack of thunder emitted throughout the world, and the skies flickered to a dark emerald color. Many people were confused, but the elders of the world soon warned the population to lock all doors and windows, set up defensive barriers, and do whatever they could to defend themselves, because green skies only meant one thing: a DomZ attack.
And sure enough, an army of alien-like creatures came down. Large skeletal water snakes emerged from the oceans of the world, small mechanical beasts plunging from the skies, destroying all that they could.
However, advanced weapons managed to blast back the DomZ, but this was only a small army compared to what Hillys had seen in the past. And this time, nobody was around to back them up. It was only up to them to hold back this DomZ threat...
This was emphasized when messages began sprouting up on televisions everywhere. A mysterious shadow broadcasted a message all around the world:
‘Lay down your arms and submit to the rule of our leader, The Aerxons, or see your galaxy become our converted parking lot for our spacecraft. We didn’t die at all. We are merely evolving, evolving beyond your minds, your sanity, your very souls. You cannot comprehend us; we are better than you. We are DomZ. You will fear us as you always have...Lay down your arms and submit to the rule of our leader, The Aerxons, or see your galaxy become our converted...’
It was confirmed. The DomZ had struck back, and the only decision the world would have would be fight back and die, or succumb and join this demon...
Meanwhile, somewhere in Hillys, a faint glimmer of hope had begun to stir.
Crap you’ll probably need to know about because you’ve never play BG&E:
Hillys:
The planet Hillys shares a remarkable resemblance to Earth, some of which is a product of Human habitation and some of which isn’t. Both Hillys and Earth have one moon, roughly two-thirds the size of Earth, shares the same rotational period and the same time to rotate their primary star (365 days). Evolution shared the same rate as Earth, but at one point or another, a starfaring race must have interfered with evolution, for animals began to take up humanoid appearances, known as Hillyans. Very few clues of who or what did this have been uncovered, but this could possibly be due to the Alpha Sections having taken these crafts. But this race jumpstarted evolution, causing the Hillyans to have developed cars and robots long before it should have. More or less, spaceships were likely to have been invented during the time when the very first car was made on Earth.
Their world is very much like ours, but most of it is an oceanic planet. Many precious materials are submerged in Hillys, so soon its strongest economy was mining precious minerals. Their currencies are ‘Units’, and Pearls. Pearls are rare, precious objects, usually used in the black market to buy rare things.
The concept of conflict was foreign to the Hillyans at first, even though humans introduced them to the idea, if not the reality. Never had Hillys been in a major war, but only maybe a few minor battles. This changed when the world was locked in a war with the daemon organization of the DomZ. Their armies landed on Hillys, insisting on taking Hillys over. The DomZ were beaten back, however. This left Hillys with many weapons and fortresses the DomZ made, and Hillys had large and well-equipped armies. While a century-long galaxy-wide peace had been ensured, Hillyans used the armies they had to achieve their goals.
Hillyans:
Hillyans are basically anthromorphic animals. If you’ve played the Sonic series, you’ll get a pretty good idea of what they’re like. The basic point is, they’re animals that can walk on two legs, can talk, and can pretty much do anything humans can do with the exception that they’re animals.
The Alpha Sections:
This organization does not exist on Hillys anymore, but it does indeed exist on other planets in the galaxy. It was an organization of Hillyans, robots and humans that were possessed by DomZ. They kidnapped people from all over the galaxy to provide an energy source for the DomZ, delivering them to a base in the shadow of the moon. They are equipped with super, super high-tech weapons and armor. That’s really it...
DomZ:
An alien organization. Not much is really known about them. Their origin is unknown, their goals are unknown, but common sense tells you that they’re up to no good. They strike in small armies, doing great amounts of damage while kidnapping civilians. They usually wait for a few weeks so the citizens of the planet can recover, then they strike back again. They come in many forms, in robots, in organic creatures, in plants, in everything they can possibly use.
