I was wondering what you think of the BF saga so far.
I think its going good. Nowhere near the best it could've been but, its still doing ok. Also in the upcoming episodes Ash's grovyle will evolve and May will lose to Harley for the first time using Munchlax. Although I still feel that Hoenn has been the best saga.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
It started off pretty average but a lot of great stuff has happened in this season.

Since it's a short saga only a year long, I think I may like it more than the Orange Islands. Its easily better than Johto though, at any rate.

The original Kanto is far superior though, no doubt about that.

Hoenn and the Original Kanto are the best, but the BF season seems to be one step above the Orange Islands.

It is alright but I never liked the Hoenn season. My personal favorite season was the Orange Islands.

meh, they could have gave the frontier brains more of their personality. when i saw lucy in the anime x_x. i think this is just a filler season till the D/P anime starts.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
The "season" may be filler but what happens in it is very important. The Brains and May's Contest quest are just as important as their Hoenn counterparts.

Kabuto

little punks!
Meh I'll list best to least:

1. Kanto
2. Orange Islands
3. Hoenn
4. BF
5. Johto

I picked 50/50. No way it rises up to the originals and it falls one tiny step below Hoenn. They had a few mess ups. *cough* Lucy episode *cough*. Others I can't think of at the moment. They needed the BF rules also. However, the pace is no doubt better then Hoenn.

I actually liked Anime Lucy a lot. Also the filler seasons are usually when alot of the writers creativity(or uncreativity depending on the situation) shows. This saga has been fun and it actually seemed like the writers are answering fans. Like the fans complaining about Mudkip not getting shunned. They answered by having Mudkip in most of the fillers then it evolved, They also brought Misty back for a tiny bit, Ash's grovyle evolved, Harley winning a contest, etc.
1. Kanto
1. Hoenn
2. BF
3. Orange Islands
4. Johto
IMO I never really liked tracey and the BF is more interesting with contests and such.

Well anyway it'l be soon. So here is my list:

Hoen
Kanto Battle Frontier
Jhoto
Orange Islands saga
Kanto.

Well, I like the saga's like this:

1) Kanto BF
2) Hoenn
3) Orange Islands
4) Kanto
5) Johto

So yeah, I loooooooove Kanto in the BF. Hoenn makes a quick 2nd, and The Orange Islands were great too, IMO. Kanto was packed with humor and fun, I just liked Kanto BF, OI, and Hoenn a bit more, but I still like Kanto a lot

Johto isn't as bad as many people judged it, IMO, but it could've been far better

Also, Grovile did evolve? Dang! Just win Mudkip evolved to make them equal ;_;... Oh well, still like Kanto BF though :p

I own the 5th gen
I'm kinda undecided at the moment.... the Battle Frontier has been doing great so far, picking up the pace and having less fillers.... however, this does show signs of rushing (evidenced in some contests and Frontier Brains only getting a single episode), and some of these episodes are crap even if they do have a worthwhile event occuring in them (Mizugorou's evolution, Eievui hatching, or Hinata and Celebi's appearance.... I know that last one seems like filler, but some people tend to shrug off any episode involving game events or legendaries, which this episode had both of, as non-filler). Also, two things really damage this saga for me: the crappy start (which continued until Manene showed up), and Haruka's suck-as* team, which includes my most hated thing in the anime to date. On the other hand, Satoshi's team has never been better (though the team at the end of Houen closely rivals it), even if it doesn't have a 6th member (bound to change by the time Battle Frontier ends).

Speaking of Haruka's team, the overload of babies would be another damaging factor... although Manene is one of the cutest things the anime's had in a good while (and definitely one of the few babies to actually succeed in being cute, yet not sickeningly excessive. It gives Rocket Dan one of their better running gags, too, considering mimicry actually has variance every time it comes up), and here's hoping that Haruka's Eievui evolves quickly. Characterization has been alright, especially for Kojirou. Battle Frontier's one of my favorite openings, too, if not my number one fav. I can't say the same about the ending themes, though (Pokemon Count sucks, and Glory Day's alright, but it's not my favorite and we did see plenty of it in Houen). The Lucario movie was damn good as well.... overall, it's pretty great, but I friggin hate that Zenigame's existance so much that even Satoshi's current team with a fully evolved Jukain seems like it'd be hard-pressed to counter it. But, if Harley really is gonna get a win.... and I guess if they just make that friggin turtle get its as* kicked at something (running off the field while fighting Flygon doesn't count), it'll be all great.

But, I won't pass judgement until it ends. Like I said, there is signs of evident rushing, and rushing ended up ruining Houen by the very end. I'm not gonna be very happy if the Battle Frontier goes off on such a note as well. If it is rushed, let's hope they take a little advice from Heath and pull it off really well in spite of lack in episode numbers.
