Bizarre question about abilities.

OK, I'm sure some of you have heard me talk about this before---a Slaking one of my friends has with no special ability, which I (still) think is hacked. But lately I've been thinking about it, and it's been bothering me.

Is it possible, extremely rarely, to find a Pokémon with no ability? The Slaking in question has no Truant. Thing is, its owner called me at 9:30 at night to tell me he had hatched a Slakoth with no Truant. I don't think it's worth a call at night to brag about something you hacked with a GS or an AR, really.

Maybe it was a bug from other hacks he did to the game? I'm mystified by this whole thing and hoping someone can finally give me a conclusive answer. (It also annoys me because that Slaking is plopped firmly in the 56th Battle Tower match due to record swapping.....>_<)

A hack, lie, or glitch. Have you actually SEEN the slaking? if you have then it's a glitch but probably a hack. The only pokemon with no special ability is MissingNo.

It must be a hack, as it's impossible to have a Pokémon without a nature.

Hmph, I figured as much. Now I'm burdened with having to defeat the damn thing in my Battle Tower.....329 National Dex and I'm actually considering restarting Emerald just to get rid of it....>_<

Mods can lock, this has been answered to my satisfaction.

When he switches in Slaking, he'll probably use Return or Hyper Beam right away, so switch in your Ghost type and slap a Curse on him. That's my suggestion.

And yes, this was fairly obviously a hack/hack result or lie. "Glitches" like that just plain don't happen to normal games.
