So I'm trying to put my team together on PO and I have a question. It seems like it's really easy to put together any team you can fathom, but is it bad form to use a team you don't have in game? If so, then what about people who don't have the game, but still use PO?

No it isn't bad to put in a team you don't have. Pokemon Online is an online battle simulator, they don't really care what team you have in your game. Use whatever you'd like on PO~
