Inverse

Introduced in XY, Inverse Battles reverse the type chart. Super effective moves become not very effective, and not very effective and non-effective moves become super effective; neutral moves remain neutral.

Word
Suggested by Afro
Each player will be given a five letter word. Each player will need to a build a team with each member starting with a letter in the word, plus one wild card. For example, a team for the word "frame" could have Ferrothorn, Regice, Ambipom, Metagross, and Electivire, plus Latios as a wild card.

Zodiac

Each player creates a team based on the twelve animals of the Chinese Zodiac (Dragon, Dog, Rat, Pig, Rooster/Bird, Snake, Horse, Cow, Tiger, Sheep, Monkey, and Rabbit).
Detail on what is qualified will be provided if this theme is chosen.

Sky
Suggested by Vader
Introduced in XY, Sky Battles allow only Flying types and anything with Levitate. However, the Pokémon's sprite must also be shown flying/levitating in order to participate.
Example: Hawlucha is not allowed since it is seen standing on the ground, despite being a Flying type.
Some moves, such as Ground type moves and Substitute, are also banned.
Note: Playing in this tournament will not count toward the "Sky Trainer" achievement.

Mono Type

Each player creates a team using only one type (duel types can be used, but all Pokémon must share the same type).
Each player must create a new team each round and may not use the same type twice.

Team Building

Each player will start the tournament with only one Pokémon. Each player will be able to add one Pokémon to his/her team at the beginning of each round.
Note: The exact numbers may change depending on participation.

Seasonal

A four round tournament with each round being in a different season. Each player will need to create teams based on the season of the tournament.
Spring is rain, summer is sun, winter is hail, and autumn is sand because that's all that's left.
Each team MUST have some way to create the weather of the round's season, and cannot use any other weather.

Roulette

Players register 30+ Pokémon in a specific order. Before each round, both players randomly choose their opponent's team.

Super Smash Bros
Suggested by pretty much everyone in the Guild
Standard SSB tournament when the game is released in October.​

I see no reason to have a sign up form. Maybe for future tournaments, but for now, just say if you want to join.

Whenever we get 8+ people. The more people we have playing in it, the bigger the reward will be: both in points and DD!

Here's how the tournament will run:

-There will be 2 parts, Part 1: A round robin, Part 2: Top cut tourney
-Winner gets a trophy and name recorded in the past tournaments list

Here's the prizes:

1st place: 50 points, 200DD
2nd place: 40 points, 175DD
3rd place: 30 points, 150DD
Consolation: 10 points, 10DD (note: the consolation prize applies to all future tourneys)

Dictionary:

Round Robin: A tournament style where you go against all opponents in tournament

Top Cut Tourney: The top 4 participants go in a small tourney to determine placing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd​
