Rage Powder, Spore, Giga Drain, and Protect. Protect is a must on almost all VGC sets.
Sludge Bomb can be used, but Giga Drain is better for recovery.

As for EV spreads and items, I know Rock Helmet is a classic but you'll have to look around for good EV soreads

It was something like 252 HP/XXX Def/XX Sp.Def, had 0 offensive EVs.
