In appearance I prefer Blastoise, but in competitive battle I prefer Feraligatr. Plus:

  • Feraligatr's Level Moves are most useful than Blastoise throughout the game;
  • In Gen 5, Feraligatr's movepool is larger than Blastoises:
    • Feraligatr is able to learn 5 HM's while Blastoise learns 4 HM's;
    • Feraligatr is able to learn 35 TM's while Blastoise learns 33 TM's;
  • Feraligatr is sharply more offensive than Blastoise in Attack, and slightly less offensive than Blastoise in Special Attack;
