Charizard since he can physical AND special sweep. Actually, he can mix sweep too. Blaziken would be a total gamebreaker if he was really fast, hence the use of the Salac Berry on Netbattle. Other than that he's the worst of the Hoenn starters in my opinion. Fragile, with mediocre speed...and sick attack stats. That only works in-game.

For the record, I will go on the limb and say GSC Typhlosion was a better starter than both in their respective versions.

BLAZIKEN ROCKS MAN you just do like did and boost all his stats with iron and carbos and hpup and you will an invincible blaziken like mine is .

I like pie.
i like blaziken better since it looks cooler and i like the hoenn pokemon best of all 4 generations. but charizard does get dragon type moves and has the sp attack to use them. if a charizard battled a blaziken in the game, charizard would have an advantage being able to learn wing attack.

Its got a better look and has *** Kickery moves to go along and with D/P It's got Blaze Kick to work with making it more better

Good at Life.
Blaziken has a better movepool and a better type (Fighting > Flying, even with Ground immunity .. but I just like Fighting-types).

Blaze Kick/Flamethrower and Sky Uppercut/Brick Break > Flamethrower/Blast Burn and ... Aerial Ace/HP Flying, since Charizard can't even learn Drill Peck ..

Oh, and look at Blaziken's hair. You wish you had good hair like that.

Well, since Charizard has his shiny version, I guess he does win on looks.

But Blaziken is still the better guy. And I use Blaziken in NetBattle as well as in-game. He does his thang. Better than DrumZard does now, since people are using RockSlide/HP Rock FTW.

Blaziken is Fire/Fighting but whatever.

I couldn't pick, Charizard was my first and almost favorite pokemon. He is definetly the best starter of the first gen, hands down IMO.

I used to hate Blaziken at first, but now i love him. But I like Swampert a lot too. So since I don't pick Blaziken all the time as I do Charizard, I would have to say I like Charizard more.

I'd say I like them both, but I've always liked Blaziken better because of it's
Attack Stat and wide movepool
