Body "Art" i.e. Tattoos

I'm not against anyone getting a tattoo. In my opinion, they could look very beautiful if they're done well. I would never get one of course. It's not that I'm scared of needles or anything like that but I'd rather not have it on my body and stuff.

In my opinion, I don't like tattoos. Why, well, I was told that tattoos were bad for your skin. I hold that true to this very day. I also don't like being written on, makes me feel disturbed.

Can't you just keep a photo album of those people or anything? Maybe one day, you'll stop liking a family member. What'll you do then?

They're still your family. Flesh n Blood n Bone. Even if you fall out, that relationship will still be there. And anyways, It will be personal to me because I have a strong connection with my family.

Photos can be taken all the time. And you can lose photos quite easily. Tattoos are a life time commitment and are much more personal in my opinion. And unless you get your body part hacked off its a lil harder to lose a tat than a dear photo! xD

Nothing at all wrong with getting a tattoo/tattoo's. Just make sure you get them done by a competent artist who is actually good at his job, even if it's a piece of flash out of a book in the shop or on the wall.. if the artist is good then the tattoo will look good.

Tattoo's don't have to have a meaning, yes it's a common reason to get them but it's completely fine to get a without a meaning, you may think the design looks really nice and maybe you just get something you like.. it doesn't have to have a deep meaning to it.

I have at least 2 tattoo's that people could claim to be 'rebelious' but i'm faaaar from that, i'm easy going and really laid back, i got those 'rebelious' tattoo's because i liked the idea i came up for them. (the tattoo's in question are a bio-mech piece on the left side of my neck, and Sink and Swim on my knuckes/fingers) Also i like the idea of having many tattoo's on the body (pretty much covered) in the end i will be getting full arm sleeves (nearly there anyway) leg sleeves (and some on my thighs) the other side and back of my neck, a chest piece and most if not all of my back tattooed... that doesn't make me a bad person, it just means i have alot of creative idea's for tattoo's. To me, as an artist, tattoo's are an art form and the body is just another surface for art to be created on.

I will end here, because i have wrote enough as it is..and i get defensive of the subject of tattoo's and could go on all night XD

I know many people who have Tattoos, and I see no problem with them, as long as they're not disgusting-looking/themed.
Once I lose a little more weight, I was considering getting one either on my shoulder/upper arm, or neck.

Obviously I don't want to go to someone who has no clue what they're doing and makes everything look like either a cock or a stick figure. The way I see it, as long as its imagined, its art, no matter how disgusting it looks...though some is questionable.

Oh, u mad bro?
Tattoos are pretty cool, although I have yet to see one in person that looks good. Mostly all you see is tramp stamps, and those are never attractive.

But the one I am thinking of getting is pretty intricate. A spider with webbing protruding from it on my chest. Sort of like the front of Spider-Man's costume.

It's my pen name that I use for my drawings (Spyder), Spiders are one of my favorite animals, and Spider-Man is one of my favorite heroes.

Although I can imagine it will be excruciating to get. Plus, my heart surgery scar has to heal up first.

I've never lost a photo in my life; especially not now that they've become digitalised, which makes it far more easy to make infinite copies of it, and thus never lose it.

I don't think tattoos are all bad. My mom hates them though haha XD

I have one on my hip. It's the hieroglyphic symbols for the band 30 Seconds To Mars. I love it. Shhh, mom doesn't know

I don't mind tattoos. I don't have any, but I have contemplated getting one or two in the past. I'm not big on full-limb tats, but a few here and there are okay.

Still stuck waiting for a day off in order to go make my tattoo appointment...:(

Till then. How about the people that do have tattoos say what they have and why. :D
I have a trinity knot because I love everything that it stands for and I have learned over and over again and again that everything is connected.

I don't mind tattoos. Piercings I don't have a problem with either, unless someone pierced their personal body parts. Then that's just...disgusting.

RIGHT!?!?! I find them to be terrifying and a total turn off. I mean...what if it gets stuck? *vomits*

Something else that I am disturbed by are the gauges. It used to be gross when you could see through the ear hole. But now you could stick fingers...or even entire hands through. On top of that, now people are gauging their noses, dimples, lips...gauging is so gross and when the fad's people age...it's going to be even more disturbing.

Vintage much?
Not interested in having them but they do look good in some people.
