Boring PBR?

Do you think PBR is a waste of a game? Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 were really fun because you could rent any pokemon you want and they had really fun minigames. Colosseum and XD had an awesome adventure mode. Don't you think next to them PBR is boring. There is not much to do other than use a lame temporary trainer card or put your own team from the ds games to it and play online (which you can do from a ds with less effort). I was really dissapointed when I played it for the first time. I was like.....Is that it?

PBR is an ok game the only thing that makes it worthwhile for me is the online battling. stadium and stadium 2 had much better features like battling the gym leaders. I still play stadium 2 for that game

I actually think the offline battling is the best. Online frustrates me because of all the Ubers and OUs being used - although Colosseum leaders start using ubers at rank 5 (!). I do wish there was an option to battle gym leaders, etc. like the last poster said, though.

I'll admit the online is the main thing I like about PBR (I usually encounter a mix of standard and creative teams) but in-game is lacking quite a bit...

Are you ok? That's not the same thing.

Kind of rude thing to say to a high rank member which was trying to be helpful to the forums dont you think?

Basically in the other thread you can discuss everything you´ve posted here. and i agree with you the stadium games where better.

Oh well that alright I didn't say that in a bad way. I say it to everyone. Yeah I want a stadium 3 with alot of mini games for wii.

I think that PBR is one of the best games on the Wii. So far I have over 300 hours on it, and that's far more than any other Wii game I own.

I actually like pbr. The wii is more advanced than the ds family and can get wifi even if the setting is the one that the ds family cannot support. You know what I'm talking about? It allows you to put your pokemon and watch them battle on the big screen. I really like pbr. Plus you can change your players clothes and stuff. I like the fact that you can change the clothes and get the leader outfits and wear them.

PBR, as a stand alone Wii game, is pretty poor. If you are someone who never picked up a Pokemon game before and wanted to try this out before diving into the main series, there isn't much to do. There's a limited amount of strategy (very limited) with the Rental Pass Pokemon, and they don't really stand a chance in Wi-Fi Battles.

But if you think of it as a D/P/Plat EXPANSION rather than it's own game, it's fine. Sure, it doesn't have the mini games Stadium 1 and 2 had, but so what? This isn't Mario Party. It's BATTLE revolution. Emphasis on battle. And for those of us who don't like going through the hazzle of Wi-Fi trading for items, this gives us a few TMs and Berries, etc... as well as Pokemon, that are a bit of a challenge to get otherwise.

Imo, the only things that make PBR worthwhile are the random online battles and the downlaodable items and Pokémon. Apart from those, it's not so great

The only problem I have with PBR is it's $50.00 price tag. $30 would be a compliment for this game. I thought it was okay, but was lacking a lot of content. >.>

This.

I was stupid, impulse purchased this game for fifty bucks without reading a thing about it upon release, took it home...and was disappointed.

I mean, $20? Sure, that'd be much better. But as far as I'm concerned, PBR is just good for the Three Pokemon you can nab from it.

I remember when the first couple of images and videos showed up and the UK Nintendo mag said the game would be another 'shaddow' adventure like C and XD. I was crushed when I found out it was just like a stadium game minus the fun.

Actually, BCVM22 was right. This is asking if PBR is any good. That's exactly the same as asking if PBR is worth obtaining.
