I'm Back
Episode 1
The sparking conversation

“What’s that?” Kitty questioned, the blonde lady speaking to her. She was locked in eye contact with the formal looking lady across the table from her. She analyzed her with her soft blue eyes before leaning forward from the mahogany chair and scratching her back. She was sporting a silky short cute black dress with elegant elbow length white gloves. Her tan complexion was highlighted by her straightened brown hair. The lip gloss on her lips shimmered delightfully as she wrinkled her nose before letting out a sneeze.

“Katherine!” The elegant lady barked slamming her white-gloved hand on the table. She lowered her light eyebrows and made an angry face, a piece of her blonde bangs falling out of place as she did. She took a deep breath in and fixed the hair with one finger. She crossed her pale legs to make sure no one was looking up her sparkling red dress. “It is not, ‘What’s that?’ It is, ‘Pardon me ma’am?’ Please, try to adapt the proper mannerisms of a Ledyba Lady,” She pleaded to Kitty.

Kitty’s head rested on her hand, where her elbows were placed rudely on the table. She sighed and then said, “I don’t want to become a Ledyba Lady, I want to go see all of Amerto and then go to the other regions.”

“You are too young, there are so many dangers out there,” The lady argued.

“Linda, you aren’t my mom and Frankly no one could replace her.”

“We are all sad about your mothers passing but I am sure she would have enjoyed to see you become a Ledyba Lady like she was,” Linda forcedly said.

“Beige town is really boring and hard to live in. It has one mall and one school, then the rest of it is houses that all look the same,” Kitty whined.

“You are forgetting the Ledyba Ladies Club, which is one of the most extravagant buildings this side of Amerto.”

“Well what about the other side of Amerto?” She got up from her chair making an irritating sound as she did so. Her white heels clicked on the beautiful floral patterned floor, as heads of many ladies and girls wearing red dresses turned to watch her walking towards the exit. She opened the double French doors leading to the entrance hall and then hastily closed them behind her.

‘Click, click, click’ Kitty heard the sound of shoes clicking towards her speedily. “Katherine, please just listen to reason,” Linda panted.

“No I’m done,” Kitty replied turning to the exit.

“Oh!” Linda grunted, clenching two fists by her sides. “You’ve adapted the mannerisms of that brute of a father you have!”

“Look, Linda, if that means that I’d rather choose the pokemon champion league over the Ledyba League, than yes I have!” Kitty shouted back, echoing to the other girls. She opened the door and slammed it behind her.

Outside, the sky was partially cloudy, as always in Beige town. How Kitty longed for a storm or a drought, but she knew it’d never come true in this town. It was always stale, the beige paving went throughout the town and all the beige houses were lined up side by side with a boring lamp post for every two houses. Only one thing made things interesting for Kitty and that was pokemon.

She reached down into her cleavage and pulled out a red and white pokeball. She pressed a button and the ball expanded. She threw it in front of her and a flash occurred as a pokemon materialized before her eyes. The ball flew back to her hand and she shrunk it and placed it back in her cleavage.

The pokemon was a small cat-like pokemon who was mainly pink, aside from her beige underside and beige upside down crescent moon that covered the majority of her face. Her pointed ears twitched happily as her skinny tail which lead to a puffy pink part with three pins on it swayed back and forth. “Skitty,” It mewed playfully, running towards her trainer.

“Oh, how I longed to get out of there,” Kitty sighed. “Isn’t that right Pooka?” She asked her pokemon playfully.

“Skit, skit, skitty,” Pooka purred softly as it jumped up in Kitty’s arms.

“Ya, we don’t have to be Ledyba Ladies, do we?” She questioned as if she was talking to a baby.

“You quit the Ledyba Ladies!” Said a feminine ladies voice as a boy came running from behind Kitty. His hair was brown and he wore a blue business suit which was a tight fit and only moved when he did as he flailed his arms in the air.

“Felix,” Kitty sighed. “Of course I did, Pooka and I decided that they can take their fancy, snobbish ways and shove it up their…”

“Hey! I love the Ledyba Ladies and would die just to become one! Of course I’m a boy so that won’t happen,” Felix whined. “I can see that Pooka is enjoying herself.” Felix announced pointing to the skitty who was pawing her puffy part of her tail. “How I’d love to take your skitty away from you and raise her to become a contest pokemon.”

“Contests? Oh those things with the ribbons?” Kitty questioned.

“YES!” Felix shouted angrily. “Are you too wrapped up in the pokemon League with gym battles and whatnot to even notice that I want to become a coordinator?” Felix pouted holding his head down.

“That’s it!” Kitty exclaimed as she snapped her fingers and made Pooka jump out of her arms.

“You’ve decided to become a coordinator?” Felix asked. As Pooka walked cheerily beside her trainer wagging her tail.

“No that’s not it, you and I are going to travel to all the cities and towns to become pokemon champions in contests and of course the pokemon league!” She joyfully said as she bounced up and down.

“I’m not joining the pokemon league,” Felix scoffed.

“No, I meant I’ll be doing the pokemon league challenge and you’ll be doing the contest challenges.”

“Ski?” Pooka meowed as she rubbed her furry head against Kitty’s shaven leg.

“And yes, you’ll be helping,” Kitty told her skitty as she picked her up with both hands and lifted her high above her own head as she made funny faces.

“And I hope that you won't be entering contests with Pooka,” Felix shuttered.

“Of course not!” Kitty replied angrily. “I’d never enter a pokemon meant to battle in such a demeaning event.”

“Biagio is the prefect example of a contest pokemon,” Felix bragged, pulling out a small red and white pokeball.

“What?” Kitty giggled. “He can barely walk…”

“C’mon out Biagio!” Felix shouted as he expanded the pokeball and threw it into the sky. A line of light extended from the pokeball to the ground and before everyone’s eyes a pokemon appeared.

A beige and brown pokemon came out. He had spirals for eyes and weird patterns going along his body. His body was mainly beige but his back, circles around his eyes and the tips of his ears were all brown. His little noticed tail jittered a little bit as he wobbled around, unable to keep his balance. “Spinda?” It questioned its surroundings before going back to almost falling repeatedly. “Spi-i-i-i-i-inda-a-a-a-a!” He cried before falling on his bottom.

Both Kitty and Pooka began to laugh before Kitty said, “He can’t even stay up! How do you expect to enter a contest when your pokemon can’t even stand straight.”

“Don’t you know anything?” Felix scoffed. “There are five types of contests: Cool, Beauty, Cute, Smart and Tough. Biagio will obviously enter the cute one, so ha!”

“Pooka is cute, but she can also stand still,” Argued Kitty.

“She won’t be cute after so many battles!”

“Coordinators have to battle too dummy!”

“Well they don’t have to rip each other apart!”

“Neither do battling pokemon!”

“Fine!”

“Fine!”

A moment of silence occurred as Felix scooped Biagio up into his arms and cradled him as he walked beside his friend. Her skitty, Pooka was being hugged tightly around the tummy with the pink cat’s chin touching Kitty’s arms.

“Well I don’t think I can go on this little expedition of yours,” Felix said breaking the silence. “My parents won’t let me and there is the matter of food, money, medical issues, protection, and all that stuff.”

“Our pokemon are our protection, there is a pokemon centre every town we can bring food from our houses and when we win contests and gym battles we get a lot of money, so there isn’t any excuses left!” Kitty rudely uttered.

“Well my mother won’t let me go,” He argued.

“Sneak out.”

“And have her call all the Officer Jennies in the world!”

“I’m sure you won’t be missed.”

“Whatever, my family loves me!”

“And mine doesn’t?” Kitty asked shocked, stopping in her tracks.

“That’s not what I meant, I just meant my family loves me and they’ll miss me,” Felix rambled as Biagio’s head rolled around in his arms. “I mean come on Kitty, your dad’s so drunk all the time he won’t even notice you’re gone, and you quit the Ledyba Ladies, so Linda won’t care, and there isn’t really anyone else.”

Kitty’s lip quivered before she replied, “True enough,” taking a hard gulp and continuing her walk.

“But my parents are seriously like blah,” Felix told her, accompanied by a cute sneeze from his spinda. “I’ll tell you what, I’ll go home, steal money from my dad and then we’ll meet back at the edge of town tonight, ok?”

“So I can change first?” Kitty giggled. “Sounds good to me!”

This is a very odd story. It's got a nice sense of style, and the characters are really nice. I think you maybe need to slow down a bit, work more on some of the finer detail in the fic. I loved the ledyba ladies idea...but you keep giving away bits of the plot without real reason. The dialogue isnt very believable at the moment, I dont reckon. I think it's lots to do with setting up a story- I feel like you really wanna get to the main story as quickly as possible. I actually really love where you're going- if you just slow down, your idea for a story is lots of fun. I don't mind the rushing for the first chapter or so, just sowe get the premise- but you really need to make these chapters longer, make the action go through a sequence, rather than just tell us what's going on. There's the biggest problem, I think- you're telling the reader what's going on, and you should be showing them.

I like your idea though, I like the way the plot's going, I'll keep reading.

I'm Back
Episode 2
Diamonds are a thief’s best friend

The night was dark in Beige town, only the dim glow of the street lights lit the path for Kitty. She looked different then before, her brown hair was now untidy, sloppily combed and covered by a white bucket hat with a red trim and pokeball symbol. The red on the hat matched her fluttering mini-skirt that waved as she ran down the beige pavement. Her arms could be seen as having some muscle as she was wearing a sleeveless blue tank-top, which had a small hole to show a tiny portion of her cleavage. She had a yellow purse in which she carried some pokeballs and some money, nothing else stained her appearance.

“Kitty,” She heard Felix whispering from up in a window.

“Felix,” She replied angrily but quietly. “I thought we agreed on the outskirts of town!” She gritted her teeth as she stomped her foot on the pavement.

“Kitty, I’ll be down in a second. I just need to be quiet,” He whispered rather loudly. He no longer could be seen through the window but could be heard, crashing and banging until he came out the door. “Where’s all your stuff?” He asked pulling a huge luggage case, with clothes popping out.

Kitty gaped annoyed. She couldn’t believe how much he had packed. She understood they were going on a long journey but really, how much did he need? “I think only money and pokemon are necessary,” She replied back. Carrying a conversation with Felix for her was like talking to a wall.

He didn’t care about her opinion and just continued to drag the heavy bag as he began to walk. “Man, my father was dumb to teach me his bank account number when I was younger. And not only did I manage to snag, 50 grand but I also got his Platinum credit card!” He squealed cheerfully.

Kitty felt miniscule as all that she could manage to get was $100 and that’s through savings, piggybanks, in the couch, and stealing from her father. She only now realized that they would never get by on just $100. “That’s awesome,” She replied monotonously.

They continued to walk chatting about how their friends will miss them and the town will fall apart without them. The further they got from the town, the darker and darker it got, soon no lights were about; all darkness. The light from the moon was blocked out from the tall, spread out trees surrounding them.

“I think we should set up camp here,” Kitty told Felix.

“I’m actually scared, I think we should keep walking,” He replied frightened. His heavy bag was now becoming a force too heavy for his arms to keep up with but still he dragged it, as long as they didn’t have to stop. The bag made a ton of noise waking various pokemon as red and yellow eyes began to open and glow.

“Umm Felix?” Kitty whispered to her friend. “Felix…”

“No, we’re not stopping!” He shouted loudly.

Kitty began to hear growling before she saw some movement. “Felix,” She annoyingly said. “Stop now!”

“NO!” He shouted, even louder this time, dragging his bag, making twice as much noise. Now a ton of movement could be seen heading in his direction.

“Get down!” Kitty demanded loudly.

Felix looked back to Kitty before a horde of White winged, yellow bugs came zooming out at him. There eyes glowed of red, as their wings buzzed quickly keeping themselves in the air. Their arms were much bigger than their small little legs and they almost looked in some sort of formation. “Ninjask!” The pokemon called out in unison, angry with the being awaken from their slumber.

“AHHH!” Felix screams as he droped his bag and ran towards Kitty. “Do something!” He demanded as he cowerd behind her back.

She quickly rummaged through her purse until she grabed hold of the heaviest pokeball. She clicked the expansion button as it grew in her hand and then threw the red and white orb out towards the Ninjask. Pooka came leaping out and started playfully nudging her trainers leg. “Skitty!” It cheerfully jested as she ran around both Kitty’s legs.

“Pooka!” Kitty cried. “Go, use double slap on the Ninjask!”

Pooka turned cutely to face the buzzing army of bug pokemon who all stood still with angry expressions on their faces. A third of them flew right, into the darkness. Another third flew left and the final third flew directly at Pooka. They were going to use a tackle attack but Pooka jumped into the air and smacked one of them repeatedly with her tail. He got knocked over to a tree but the other four in this third slammed hard, all together into Pooka who was sent flying back. She was in the air and had no way of balancing herself, so she slammed right into a tree.

“Pooka!” Kitty gasped as she went to run towards her skitty. However, the four ninjask stopped her and soon the other two thirds of them showed up, surrounding her and Felix. The ninjask that Pooka knocked over also joined the surrounding of the two trainers.

“Biagio, come out please,” Felix whispered as he dug into his pocket and pulled out a pokeball. With a flash, the same clumsy spinda from before materialized and wobbled around. “Use teeter dance,” Felix commanded.

Biagio drew the attention of the fifteen ninjask as he called out, “Spinda!” They all stared cold heartedly at the cute little brown and beige panda. He then began to dance goofily, getting his groove on. Soon all the ninjask became so intrigued in the dance that they became confused as of what to do. They tried to dance themselves but it didn’t work that well and gave time for Kitty, Felix and their pokemon to escape.

They all just ran quickly, pushing through all the branches. It wasn’t until they were well away that Felix remembered about his bag. “How will we survive?” He asked, turning to Kitty who was returning Pooka to her ball.

“Don’t tell me the money was in there!” She yelled at him.

“Of course not, but all my designer outfits, hair products, contest guides and everything else needed for my traveling are in there!” Felix whined.

“Oh and you can’t just go to the next mall and buy more?” Kitty said sarcastically.

“Oh my gosh!” Felix squealed. “I forgot that they have malls in cities, unlike boring Beige town.”

“Well, duh…” Kitty said, rolling her eyes.

“Shopping Spree!” Felix cheered as he hopped up and down.

“But first can we get some rest?” Kitty asked.

“Umm on the forest floor?”

“Well do you have another place in mind?”

“The nearest hotel or pokemon centre…”

“Oh and I betcha you can find your way there, in the dark,” Again, Kitty sarcastically said.

“Well ummm…”

“So in this bag was a bunch of diamonds and other expensive things?” Felix and Kitty heard a frail female’s voice say from behind them somewhere.

“Of course, will be rich,” They heard a wheezy man’s voice reply.

They looked around but only saw the shapes formed by the darkened trees. They heard the snapping of fallen twigs and the clumping of a heavy item.

“That’s my bag!” Felix growled angrily marching through some trees.

“Felix!” Kitty hissed.

He saw a clearing of light with two small people carrying his bag towards it. Some of his designer clothes were scattered on the forest floor and some leaking out of the moving bag. “Hey you two, with the bag!” Felix called out after the two people. He began to run swaying his arms as he did so. “That’s my bag!”

Felix finally reached the outside of the woods and stood tall in front of two elderly people. The first one he saw was a man who was bald atop of his head having some grey hairs on the side, by his ears. The grey hairs matched his mustache that was so thick it covered the majority of his lips. He was wearing traditional Japanese robes that were blue and tied at the waist with a soft black belt. He had thong sandals that pushed down some of his white sock between his big toe and the next one. He looked up cutely through his thick magnifying glass- like spectacles and said in a wheezy voice, “Oh this is yours?”

“Finders keepers!” The woman beside him snapped. She looked similar to him in age and height but she wore pink robes with a white belt instead. She was obviously wearing a wig as it was disoriented and falling off, although for whatever reason she chose grey hair. They both held canes except she was also carrying the bag with her other hand.

“Oh Meredith just let him have it,” The man chuckled.

“You’re right but let’s not be rude, will both give it to him,” She replied giggling.

“Thanks!” Felix smiled reaching out to take his giant bag back.

Both of them reached into their pockets simultaneously and took out dark pokeballs. Instead of red on the top it was black. Then they both clicked the expansion button as it quickly grew in their hands. They stepped back, taking the bag with them and threw the pokeballs. A line of light went from the balls to the ground and two pokemon materialized.

Both pokemon looked kind of human-like but not totally, each had a form of leaf on their head. The one that came from the ladies’ ball had a lily pad on its head and sharp red claws that were at the end of each hand. The man’s pokemon had just a leaf on his head, his eyes were covered by a mask-like portion of beige that lead down to his brown chin. It also appeared that he was wearing puffy beige shorts but really it was just his skin, his two arms flexed, showing off his muscles before he said, “Nuzleaf!”

“Lombre,” The lady yelled at her turquoise lily-headed pokemon. “Get rid of him with Razor leaf!”

“Good idea Meredith,” The old man said. “Nuzleaf use razor leaf as well!”

“Felix!” Kitty shouted, jumping out of the woods and tackling him down.

Just as she did so, the two pokemon sprang into the air and began to spin, sending out razor-sharp leaves flying towards them. All of the leaves flew above their heads cutting the branches off the nearby trees.

“Oh, he’s got a girlfriend Earl,” Meredith said to her partner.

“Well they both aren’t allowed to see who we are,” He replied.

“Two grass pokemon aren’t enough for our charizard!” Felix shouted, pulling out a pokeball. Kitty stared at him, her eyes practically popping out of her head.

“I hate to tell you, but Lombre isn’t just a grass pokemon,” Meredith snickered. “Lombre, use water gun!”

The turquoise pokemon jumped into the air, inhaling deeply. With a hard exhale he breathed out large amounts of high pressured water, streaming towards Kitty and Felix. Kitty, who was on top of Felix was drenched as the water pushed them back forcefully making Felix hit a tree, still clinging on to Kitty.

“We better get out of here before they send out their charizard,” Earl told his wife, sticking up his pokeball and sending a red beam out that returned Nuzleaf snuggly to its ball.

“True,” Meredith replied, doing the same to Lombre. She tugged the bag behind her as both of the elderly fled towards the lights.

The energy from their events tonight had lead to extreme fatigue and both Kitty and Felix fell asleep at the edge of the forest.

Though I don't really read many Pokemon fics here, I can safely say this is a interesting one. Girl's going against what's expected of her is a tried and true plot. She doesn't what tp be prim and proper but skitty does evolve into the prim pokemon, delcatty. Gotta love that irony.

The story's off to a good start and has great dialog. It was an interesting way to start because you dive right into the action. All I might suggest is descrption and so forth. Gotta love the spinda falling over. It looks like it's falling over in Colosseum and in XD.

Anyway, great chapters! Looking forward to more!
