i spent a whole day waiting for my togepi egg and my Togepi from Xd wouldn't breed with anything not even ditto. Can the Pokemon from Xd breed? I also tried this with elekid

Togepi and Elekid can't breed with anyone, ever, no matter what games they're from. They're in the "No Eggs" group.

A quick check of the Pokedex on the main site would have answered that...
