Breeding Problems.

I'm trying to breed Heal Bell onto Snubbull. so first I took leved up miltank to 53

then captured a smeargle after it sketched my heal bell.

now I'm doing the next step, but for some reason I can't get snubull and Smeargle to breed. Smeargle is Male, I just double checked, and snubbull is female. the NetBattle Egg group lister, as well as a gamefaqs pokedex says they are compatable for breeding...

What am I doing wrong?

I heard that some pokemon with simular IVs can't breed. Try getting a new Smeargle and see if that one will breed.

If not, I don't know what to tell ya...

What do you mean, you cant get them to breed? When you click on the pokemon it says it doesnt like the other pokemon? Or you have been cycling around for ages and no egg?

well I have been cycling around for ages, training my lanturn and my newly caught heracross, but more importantly, when I click on one smeargle or Snubbull in the day care, the message I recieve is, "its brimming with energy". I just checked that on a GameFaqs breeding guid and it told me that that means they won't have sex.

I'm thinking that Wyndigo is right here, cause I remember reading that 2 max stat pokemon can't breed. so maybe if the IVs of smeargle and snubble are simmilar it fails... but what are the odds of that?

Yes, if you get the message "It's brimming with energy" that means the game thinks they're "related." I would suggest capturing another Snubull rather than Smeargle because they're easier to catch.
