Breeding Question

I know this may be a stupid question, but I've been wondering a little about eggs. I only have three quick questions, and I hope someone can answer them easily.

1) I can only speed up egg hatching on Emerald right?

2) When a egg hatches, what pokeball is it held in? I'm assuming all regular pokeballs.

3) Is it true that IV's have a better chance of being higher with breeding over capture?

Thanks for all the help,
Frosty

To answer your first question, you can speed up hatching in FireRed and LeafGreen by having a pokemon first in your party with Magma Body. Your second question: It depends. Most of the time it will be in a pokeball. But in a cheated version you will sometimes use a masterball. I'm sorry but I don't understand your third question, but I hope answering the first two helps you.

1) Yes. Emerald is the only game that allows you to use Magma Armor or Flame Body to speed up the hatching of eggs. FireRed/LeafGreen do not have that feature.

2) Your assumption is correct. Pokemon that hatch from Eggs, in an unaltered game, always go into a regular Pokeball.

3) Yes, but only if you properly breed for good IVs. When you catch a Pokemon, all six of its IVs are completely random. When you hatch a Pokemon, three of its IVs are completely random and the other three are inherited from its parents. If both parents have a few high IVs, there is a chance that those high IVs will be inherited by the hatchling. But, if you just take two random Pokemon and place them in the Daycare Center without ensuring that they have good IVs, the odds of the baby hatching with good IVs is about the same as the odds of a Pokemon you catch in the wild having good IVs.
