Hello, I've starting breeding after realising that random wild pokemon are much worse that baby pokemon, after getting some lvl 100s. Most of them are ok, some are good cuz some were breeded, but I never checked IVs, now i would like to start fresh.

My main question about breeding is: Is there a way to influence the natures or the IVs in your favor?
Is there a way to make sure my pokemon will get a certain nature?
Or do u guys just grab two pokemon and breed for a good one no matter how long it takes?

and if there is, maybe you can give a good example.
Thanks alot

You can influence it somewhat if you have Emerald. You can put an everstone on a Pokemon with the nature you want and breed it. Some of the time you will get the nature of the Pokemon that had the Everstone, others you don't.

Say if you had a modest male Ditto holding the Everstone and bred it with a bold female Blastoise, out of so many eggs, you will get a Squirtle with a modest nature.

Is there a way to make sure my pokemon will get a certain nature? Not certain, just luck and same as above question.
Or do u guys just grab two pokemon and breed for a good one no matter how long it takes?the offsprings can inherit 3 of either parent's IVs which is mostly luck.
My answers are in bold above.

3 at the max, and another 3 as random. There's always that 1/32 chance that any stat can be flawless (31 DV).

Rebreeding is the only way to get a better Charmander, not sure about the % on the IV calculator tho.

Use that Charmander and another one that has better IV's or a Ditto with any flawless stat.

This really should go i the breeding sticky... you'll get better answers there....
The % thing means that at lower levels the IV's are harder to calculate and not always accurate so the % is the percentage accuracy that it is that number it gave.
And... when breeding.... the only way the everstone works in emerald is either on a female or a ditto where the ditto trumps the female (it has to hold it not the female).
