Breloom's Short Arms

I wonder, for a Fighting-Type, how would Breloom punch? His arms are too short.

I dont really tend to notice.
It is a bit stupid to have arms THAT short but boxers and martial artists do keep their fist close to their chests.

According to the pokédex, Breloom are able to stretch their arms, much like Hitmonlee's legs. It's worth noting that Breloom are seen extending their arms in both the animé and manga also~

Funny that with such short arms/skinny arms when extended, breloom has such high attack. Any idea why?

I just looked one up on the XD PDA's Strategy memo and it does indeed have short arms (got to love the ability to change the viewing position), but I read somewhere that it (may) have been modeled after the kangaroo, who have short arms but can throw a good punch (and kick too).

Also, I believe that Breloom can extend their arms while attacking in Colosseum/XD.

Perhaps Breloom's arms are very flexible, and fold up tight against his chest so he is more balanced. After all, this is the case with the Hypsolophodontid dinosaurs off of which Breloom is probably based.

Dinosaurs? He looks more like a kangaroo to me. But yeah, I've always thought that would be how it was, extendable. Still doesn't explain how his attack matches Machamp though...

No. I was the one who pointed it out. He seems fast, not immensely strong. Or maybe his springy arms are stronger than first though...
